Just got back from the dealers. Had a good experience, local dealer is really nice. We'll definitely go here for service but where we buy the car in the end, dunno yet. Took a North package out for a quick zip around. Hey, what's not to love. It feels like your driving a truck, but then you open the door and just step out. i kinda liked that.
Here's what we considered ordering:
Keyless Go package
Cold Weather (the "Canada" package)
Powered mysky (which can also still be manually removed which is cool, i didn't know that)
Trailer tow (yes, mysky AND trailer tow! you can't build that on jeep.ca)
Customer preferred package (no idea what this is)
Affiliate discount of $1475 (i didn't even know this was available, dealer just told me due to company i work for)
Admin costs $499
Total price $35189 + tax
I am considering also to call 3rd party company that negotiates prices for you as i don't really like negotiating, its just not my thing.
Hi Knucklez, thought i just chime in with my recent purchase, I got a TH as well, I took a while at the dealership to understand all the group options (I don't know why they made it so complicated) at the end of the day I went with premium leather group (which includes cold weather and most of the popular equipment group, and obviously leather seats) and power my sky, came to around 34K + hst, so i negotiated around 2200 off the msrp (msrp $36,400), which i don't think is the best i could have done, but pretty decent for a new model car and didn't want to spend more time at the dealership.
I went and tried to configure your options on jeep.ca (fyi you can add power mysky and trailer tow on jeep.ca), also keyless go and remote start is part of the cold weather pack, so they shouldn't be selling you extra for those. even then the msrp is $35,680 so not sure what kind of "discount" they were telling you about but it doesn't add up, i think you can do better.
O, i also got them to remove the admin fee, they can totally do that. The only thing thats really non-negotiable is the destination charge, federal AC tax, and obviously the hst, everything else is negotiable.
Also keep in mind these take months to build and deliver, i ordered mine pretty much at the end of June, just got a call from the dealership that it will arrive mid November.
Hope that helps.
