thx for the feedback. sounds like you got a good deal. november must seem so far away! be sure to come back and report your experience.
ya looks like they fixed the tow + mysky.. originally it was mutually exclusive.

i contacted 3rd party negotiating, let them haggle for me. some people are good hagglers, some people even enjoy it. i'm not and i don't. that's ok, we all have our limits. $300 is what their service costs and of course it would be worth it to me if they get a price $300 (or more) better than what i did. is it so different than having a real estate lawyer negotiate price of a house for you?

but i do hear you.. perhaps I should go to another dealership try again. I'll name drop with "well, Tofu said..... "

i agree, it just depends on how much you value your return on your time, i mean if i charged $50/hr for all the research and negotiating that went on with this purchase i'd be well over that $300 they charge.

don't mind if you name drop, i'm sure they'll think you're crazy.... and just give you a big discount. http://www.jeeprenegadeforum.com/forum/images/JeepRenegade/smilies/tango_face_wink.png

will definitely check back here more often when i get my ride, now its an early christmas present more than anything.

wow, i am really glad i asked 3rd party negotiator to speak on my behalf. for my TH with cold weather group, tow and powered mysky, they were able to get a much better deal than i could get.

taxes in, all hidden costs in (except $135 of A/C & licensing)
drive off the lot price $36,500K
(price i got, post #37 , drive off the lot was $39,600 )

can't wait for my renegade to show up!!

That's a lot better than what I'm seeing. I'm in Ottawa and currently drive a 2012 Patriot but am itching to move into a Renegade. I drove in one a friend had as a loner, and went to a dealer to test drive one.

The dealership managed to piss me off so I don't want to go back there. It's where I get my service done and I got a 'contest' email from them. I did the contest and at the end they offered a $100 gift card to come in for a test drive. I liked the Renegade and have bought several new Jeeps over the years, but they basically didn't have the gift card and said they'd make it up to me if I bought a vehicle. That bait & switch really annoyed me so I'm not going back there.

If I can get a deal remotely close to the above on a 2015 I'll do it, but from what I see there's nothing close to it around here. The one I drove was a Sport 4x2 with barely any add-ons and was $24k++. They were not willing to deal on the price either, mostly wanted me to try a Cherokee since they had tons of them on the lot.

Any suggestions on how to find a good price? I'd travel to get a deal but I also want to trade-in my Patriot so I'd like a decent trade value.

I have been looking at a 2017 Trailhawk in Winnipeg (the closest city to us). The list is over 42 as it is fully loaded. I was hesitating and comparing and they have now gone down to 40,000 all in, all fees and taxes. I haven’t picked it up yet. I will go on a Friday as we are a 5 hour drive away. Is this a good price anyone?
