I am probably going to go the lemon law route with mine, just curious if anyone else has had to do this and has advice. One attorney I talked to said they are seeing a lot of cases with the renegades and even recommended going that route.
Did you try getting a case started with Jeep Customer Care first. I have an open case with them & they have already sent in a request for a buy back. Not sure if will get approved, but they are at least working with me.I am probably going to go the lemon law route with mine, just curious if anyone else has had to do this and has advice. I have a case open, I am about to take the vehicle in for service for the 4th time on the 11th. The problem that I am probably going to run into though is the dealership keeps saying there is nothing wrong with the vehicle, but I am starting to have tons of problems, even more than what I was orginally taking it to the dealership for. How many times has yours been in for service?Did you try getting a case started with Jeep Customer Care first. I have an open case with them & they have already sent in a request for a buy back. Mine has been in twice for wet floorboards. Originally took it in on 7/13 exactly one month after I purchased it. After a 1-1/2 weeks they finally found it was a cracked ac drain line. They replaced it, but left the carpet in the Jeep. I got it back and 2 days later the carpet is soaked again. They are now saying it's because the pads under the carpet was holding moisture (also smells like mildew in the jeep). I am now waiting for all the carpet to be replaced. I don't expect them to buy mine back. It was submitted just in case the dealer can't fix the issue. I am being told I wont get the jeep back until end of next week. So I now the jeep has been in the shop 3 weeks of the short time I have owned it and if I dont get it back until this next weekend...that will make it 4 weeks!I have a case open, I am about to take the vehicle in for service for the 4th time on the 11th. My brakes squeal/grind pretty bad. Tons of random electronic issues, the service 4wd warning. my sound system turns off all the time and says its unavailable, key fob/proximity issues. I have a constant rattling in my right rear quarter panel. My gas mileage is terrible. Vibration/wobble at certain speeds. What issues have you had?
Depends where you are 3 times for the same issue, or 30 days in the shop is a common threshold though. Some states you can add substantial loss of use, others you can argue hazard to personal safety.Ok so this is number 2. I have not talked to attorney yet. But it is my understanding we have to give them 3 chances on the same problem.
I have started to open a case got the paper work in on Friday. my jeep has been back to the dealership 5 times. at the moment its there now, has been there over a week now..... the dealership told me the 3rd and 4th time I came in they couldn't get the jeep to do anything I was complaining about. transmission slipping out of gear while driving, going from reverse to drive it sits and thinks what gear to go into then lurches forward, and cruse control if canceled not turned off it will try to re engage itself...... ive opened a case with jeep customer care and they didn't care at all not concern for my life. they closed my case Friday because im taking legal action. they told me a buy back is out of the option till theres proof my jeep is probmatic.I am probably going to go the lemon law route with mine, just curious if anyone else has had to do this and has advice. Thanks for that. I am commuting with my 5 yr old so I don't like sudden loss of power at those speeds with traffic. Even if we can't get buy backs maybe we can get small claims to compensate for the losses of time.Depends where you are 3 times for the same issue, or 30 days in the shop is a common threshold though. For NV, it's 4 times or 30 days within the first year or end of warranty period, whichever timespan is less. Thanks for that.
