Greetings all! New to the forum, but not to jeeps. I've got a 2016 Renegade Trailhawk 2.4l that we bought new. Now has almost 160,000 miles on it and couldn't be happier with it! However, a recent problem cropped up. The heater won't blow hot air like it used to. The fan motor blows, and it will change zones (floor/defrost/dash, etc.) but the air coming out just isn't hot. Once the Jeep warms up a bit it feels "warm-ish" coming out of the vents, but this thing used to melt us out in the dead of winter here in Wisconsin. Now it won't defrost the windshield. Since this cropped up I have replaced the thermostat (normal indicated engine temp in this weather is 192-198). The coolant was fresh when the t-stat was replaced, and it is full. I've tried several methods of "burping" the cooling system but none seem to solve the heating issue. Is there a heat (temp) control valve or switch that goes bad on these? This is the wifes daily driver, so "Live with it" isn't an option LOL! Thanks in advance!
Mike.
