Picked up my Trailhawk yesterday, drove it home, and 400 miles and 30+ mpg later, absolutely loving it. Not regretting trading out of my Patriot at all.
If you're thinking about taking the plunge, do it. I worried about the issues cropping up, too, but as others have said, that's what warranties (and worst case scenario, lemon laws) are for. Why wait?
All I know is that driving is one of my favorite things in life, but it had become boring and/or a chore with my Patriot. With the Renegade, suddenly driving is fun again.
