I have a 2017 Renegade with 2800 miles on it. As I was driving my car, the check engine light came on and the car revs to about 6000 rpms and does not drop down. In addition the car will not go above 68 mph. I brought it in for service last week and they claimed to fix the issue (they claimed it needed a software update). The car was good the day after I picked it up from service, but this morning it was doing the same thing. Any one have any ideas what could be wrong? I'm afraid that they sold me a piece of ****!

Are you sure the shift lever wasn't moved to the left (manual mode)?

Hi GS1,

If you're still experiencing this, I'd like to get a case opened up for you if you're agreeable to take your Jeep back in for service. That way we can be involved and also document any concerns you're having. If you're interested, please send a private message with your VIN.

Having the exact same experience with my jeep and the same thoughts. Never been so disappointed in a car with so few miles on it.

I've dealt with Jeep Cares/Chrysler. Opened a case numbe, just to be told defects aren't covered past warranty. I have had a jeep for under a year, many problems. Case # 76770172

We're sorry to hear that you've had a negative experience. Once a vehicle is outside of warranty, costs associated with the repair are the responsibility of the owner.
