Is it correct that one cannot order the trailer hitch option plus the full size spare?

You "should be" able to get a hitch and it requires that you also get the full size spare. However so far Jeep has not yet shipped out one single Renegade with a hitch. Oh and FYI this is only available with a 4 wheel drive and is also only available with an automatic transmission. You can't get it with the 1.4 engine and you can't get it with a manual transmission.

There are many threads of people that have installed both the undermount or the retrofit hitch style. The undermount will take less time and money and only reduce your departure angle but not the ground clearance. The retrofit kit from Renegade Ready has gotten many good reviews on the forum from people with varying amounts of expertise and tools. I've recently posted on my separate blog that theirs is presently the only workable option as the recently released mopar "kit" is so lacking. That post is here
