Hello All,
So I test drove a Renegade Trailhawk in Alpine white today in Southern CA, and was surprised that this particular vehicle did NOT have the hood stripe, but did have all other badging. Has anyone else seen any without this decal? I thought it was odd. On Jeep's website this seems standard, so I'm wondering if there was some sort of problem and the dealership replaced the hood. I didn't ask about it since the salesperson, while nice, did not seem to know much about the details on this model. Anyone have any input? Thanks.

Hood decal is $150 optional. Build a trailhawk and underneath the picture you will see "optional hood decal shown." You can even see it in the Exterior options as well

Actually, any time I've tried configuring a Trailhawk on any of the car buying services online, the hood decal is one of the "required" items already chosen for me, and I can't remove it.

Mine came with it and I'm going to peel it off. I wanted to do it today, but I wasn't home all day. I don't like the hood decal.

I preferred it so I always did searches for ones that had it. And when I did the "build" on the Jeep site it was always optional and I had to check the box. Can't remember if I saw any in person without it, the THs were rare near me and I only looked at a couple before mine came in.

Mine happened to come with it as well. I like it, it helps the solid black roof and the paneling.

Thanks everyone for the good info. This is very helpful. The dealer was going to charge me $695 to add the decal, which is a little crazy if the actual price of the decal is $150! I could live without it but personally I agree with you Beep Beep Jeep--it's a nice touch with the black roof.

from what i heard the first set of renegades that came out did not have it, however all subsequent ones will have it. honestly i purchased it and it took me about 15 min to put it on

It's optional on the build page but if you order a TH, it's a required option. I was confused by this as well.

This is why I think it is ludicrous for Jeep to make it a $150 option, when technically unless you custom order... there are not many to be found without the hood decal.

Search the window sticker by the VIN. That will yield the original factory equipment.
