Hello, I have been finding the info in this forum useful and thought I would join in a bit.

Im strongly considering this as my new vehicle after my chevy sonic. I like my little sonic, but really want something better in the snow. This vehicle seems better than anything else on the market.

Even though I'm not an offroader, never had an offroad vehicle, I am looking at the trailhawk trim.

It'll likely suit you well. And I'm sure you'll get some use of the 4x4 with that lake affect out your way.
I don't intend to take mine off road either. I'll get the Lattitude trim since I want a manual transmission in mine.
@jedilove

I do intend to do some off roading, but even if I didn't, I find the TrailHawk trim to be the best looking trim to me personally. So I completely understand how you feel.

May the Force be with you!
I would consider the TrailHawk if it came with a manual transmission. I don't know how to drive automatic.

Don´t worry about autoatic ... that´s as easy even US People can drive with it ... just accelerate and break when you need to ... ok you have to steer in the right direction and watch for other people too ... but something weird happens every time ...

Get adaptive cruise (not avail in the US tho) and lane keep assist and then all you gotta do is sit back and relax:D well until I beeps at you to put your hands back on the wheel lol

(I would NOT recommend this by any means but it's doable)

I'm with @bwbike on that one, my brain fails to process the ease of an automatic transmission :D
Well, obviously I was kidding about the "I don't know how to drive automatic." But for me, part of the fun of driving is working the clutch and gear shift lever.

Both my current cars have manual transmissions. If I trade my 2009 car for the Renegade, it will have a manual for sure.

For me it's my left foot that trys to look for his thrid pedal friend... every god damm time lol
I like auto, 1 foot on the gas other on the brake. Hammer down!!

Not sayin I haven't had some fun with a stick, Mazda 626 gt turbo, for a stint. Just picked up 2 new 30" BFG AT, bured out the tire shop on some fresh shoes.

My XJ is loud prolly cracked the workers right up. :D

I also have some fun with my Stick too ... but lets talk about Manual shifting instead and go back to topic ...

Buffalo, NY here too!

Welcome from another Buffalo, NY'er. I am also considering a Renegade Trailhawk. I might just wait to see the new wrangler in a year or so, though. Anyways, I plan to use my TH offroading as much as possible. It will at least see deep snow, and muddy seasonal roads. I am considering keeping my current vehicle (2002 5spd manual 4x4 Nissan Xterra) for more severe off road use, and using the Renegade as a weekend fun buggy to explore and go to the cabin with. If this is the case, I may add the superfluous options like cold weather group, sun roofs, and subwoofer. I always wanted an open air vehicle. Or I might just keep it base. Not sure yet. I have been driving stick for about the last 6 years as a daily. It has it's ups and downs. I think I could live with either transmission, but I do miss an auto for longer trips. I just wish we would get one in already!!!! Matt
