I 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 wear my seat belt when driving on any road and don't need the incessant chime to remind me every time I start my 2019 Trailhawk (push button start). It's bad enough that the UConnect stereo instantly blasts the radio when I start, but that's another issue.
I also drive slowly around my own property hauling hay and feed in a trailer, and shouldn't be 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙙 to wear a seat belt for that, or for the lengthy stretch of driveway before I get to the road.
All that is to say there should be 𝙣𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙨 about my seat belt safety because whenever I pull out of my driveway onto the road for the past two decades, my seat belt, as well as those of any passengers, will be buckled.
I've tried all the online suggestions, which are inconsistenct, usually involving unbuckling and rebuckling three or more times while in the Run position. 𝙉𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙙.
I haven't explored fuse or wiring options, nor if my Blue Driver OBD will disable the chime, but thought I'd reach out to the community first. Has anyone 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙮 disabled the seat belt chime in a 2019 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk with a push button start?
Personally not a fan of disabling the whole thing.
That little switch seems to be tied into other stuff like the handbrake release etc now..
Dealers should just disable the chime when asked. As was the case previously.
Disabling it used to add another menu item in the set-up to re-enable it.
