I ordered mine Feb 18th (and have a VON), but no ETA yet. Also in Canada.Let me know what you hear on timelines.
I was able to order one in Canada....and it has been over 3 weeks ago since I ordered. Dealer had no update on the build process when I called last Thursday. It will be 4 weeks this Sat.
Once your order is placed, the dealer should give you a Priced Order Confirmation (POC) sheet. On it will be the VON (Vehicle Order Number) and a list of all options & prices. Not sure what VON means . . .
Did you negotiate any discount below MSRP?I went to the Enumclaw Washington Jeep (cjd) dealer and drove the new Jeep Renegade Latitude, then sat down and did the paper work to order the Renegade Limited my way with all the bells and whistles. I was their first order and they were wonderful to work with. Dustin Dearing said they had a Limited 4x4 coming in without my sky that he would be happy to sell me but he knew I wanted the my sky so we did the build and sent it in. Now all I have to wait and see how long it takes to build it. But I am happy to get my order in early.
And if you don't have that, you didn't actually order it. The sales guy just said of course he would, sometime, eventually, when they let him.Once your order is placed, the dealer should give you a Priced Order Confirmation (POC) sheet. On it will be the VON (Vehicle Order Number) and a list of all options & prices.
You should have that within a day or two if the order was accepted by the system. Once the status goes to D (firm schedule), you will get the VIN (vehicle identification number).
I just had a customer yesterday that wanted to factory order a Renegade since she wanted the MySky - Sadly to my and her dismay I was informed that they're not taking or allowing any sort of Factory order since they're being built overseas. They claim due to the uncertainty of what's going to be more popular, they're going to build them and give the dealers the ability to pick from what has already been built. If they were made in the US like the other Jeeps, we'd have the ability to Factory order all day long. The Renegades and the ProMaster City are the only 2 models that do not have the same ordering system compared to the rest of the products.
They're hoping to move over to a building system similar to Hyundai and Kia (one vehicle with 2-3 "packages" to choose from). I can't factory order anything from Kia, either. They give us a list of what's built and available for allocation at port. From there we put in what we'd like and most of the time we get our picks.Originally they allowed us to "order" some Renegades but it seems like it was just from what will be available at Port, and then once more are on the ground here in the NE (and all over the US) - We'll have the ability to swap with other dealers. If they have plans on it being built in the US, I have no idea - we're always the last to know. However as of right now, we're at the mercy of the plant and what they decide to build. If they see a trend in what's being sold, I'm sure it'll cause an upsurge in those particular models, trim levels and packages
.I would like to think that your dealer just doesn't know and you're not being lied to but if what's written above is true you may be waiting a very long time if you must have the MY SKY. It will be a crap shoot that when your choice hits the port inventory that another dealer doesn't snap it up first.
another update mine is at D status now
