I'm still figuring out the right setup to use these (sometimes I get it right, sometimes I don't).

Here was the strange experience: had my iPhone 6+ paired up through Bluetooth and Apple's Maps wasn't working well (no surprise there) and I really needed to know how to get to where I was going so I switched to Google Maps. Once I got close to my destination and knew how to finish up the trip I shut off of radio console but didn't shut off my phone nor kill its Bluetooth settings. So, the radio was completely off but the phone was still on and was still giving me directions.

Then, every once in awhile, the radio console would briefly turn on and tell me I had a 2-3 second phone call, then go blank again. Multiple times. I finally realized it was coming on at the same time that Google Maps was giving me directions. So... the car would turn on the speakers and console briefly when I needed to receive directions then shut it off.

Since this is my first Jeep and my first vehicle with Uconnect... is this normal? It was weird (and doesn't happen with Apple Maps).

Some map apps only give instructions over Bluetooth audio. Some will also give them over a Bluetooth phone connection. Google maps is one of them. Others will just have no audio if muted. Others will punt and send audio to the phone's speaker.
