That certainly looks like an original.

Here was the one that had originally come with my 2021 Trailhawk -- slightly higher capacity (I assume because of auto stop/start...?), but otherwise the same:
Font Gas Audio equipment Electric blue Carmine

Dealer had to replace it under warranty at the one-year point, because the auto stop/start wasn't working. They put in a DieHard AGM battery.

If yours is the original, it's time to get a new battery. The three-year point is when to start thinking about it -- they seem to be dealer-warranted at only two years. Things work fine, until suddenly they don't (electronics).

Did you have any issues with the battery other than start/stop not working? I have the same 2021 Trailhawk as you, and it's only about 9 months old. Everything has been working fine including start/stop. But last week, the car was parked for 4 days without driving it. When my son went to start it, the battery was dead and it had to be jumped. Is it normal for this car to have a dead battery after 4 days of sitting? There wasn't anything left on in the car that could have caused it to drain, but I know that Uconnect does have a built in cellular modem that uses a small amount of power. Most cars are smart enough to put the modem to sleep before the battery is dead, but maybe the Renegade isn't?

That's been my experience with other cars as well. But I'm wondering if this is a common problem with the newer Renegades because of the draw from the cellular modem.
We just purchased a used 2018 renegade latitude about 3 weeks ago. Has the original battery. It has sat for 3-4 days and starts right up. Going to replace the battery anyway because it's 4 years and have brutal winters

I've got a 2021 Trailhawk. The vehicle has often sat (in the garage) for two or more weeks straight, and I've never had a problem starting it.

Just that problem at the one-year point with the Auto Stop/Start...

I've got the cellular phone stuff disabled (through Uconnect), as far as I know; I don't use my cell phone cellular-wise through the vehicle. Only time I use it is for Gaia GPS for offroad navigation -- that's on my cell phone; I believe it uses a cellular signal to update the maps, and I connect with a USB cable.

Yeah. At that age, it apparently works fine... Right until the point that it suddenly doesn't...

This is the battery in our new/used 2018 jeep renegade. No issues runs great. No sticker showing month and year. Possible original Mopar battery. Thanks.

Sorry, that's a bit confusing.

The OE number on alittleant's 2018 Renegade battery was 51940918.

The OE number on my 2021 Trailhawk original battery was 52102538, and it had a slightly-higher SAE rating (700 vs. 600). Was that because I have Auto Start/Stop, or maybe other options?

Well issue popped up with screen. Am putting a new battery in but this just happened in the last 2 days with the screen. I read on the forum here that the battery can or could be the issue.

This is 3 weeks after purchase. I expected a few issues with a new/used vehicle. We still love this renegade. My wife likes all this electronics stuff me not so much.

At 69 year's young my 2002 TJ with 180,000 miles has a radio and still works. Even or 2010 mountaineer does not have all the gizmo stuff. Have a great day folk's. Really like this forum.

o_O That's still with the old battery?

I hadn't heard of that issue with an old battery. Can you link to the thread?

That's you at 69, not the TJ... Right? ;)

I'm less than a year behind you...

Yeah, all these electronics and automatic stuff is great.

Until it's not.

Not much can be done. Except for really keeping up with maintenance...

Just did a search (Jeep renegade with screen lines) A lot of folks say that a weak battery can cause the issue.

a weak battery can cause a lot of weird issues. i know mine was doing some things i didnt recognize.
Just had an issue with low battery. It is -20 Celsius now (southern Alberta, Canada). Just went for a short drive. Got back into the garage but turned off the engine and continued to listen to the radio, also the headlights were on when the program ended exit the car. After few minutes got back into the car decided to pick up some groceries but got “power steering error”, then “brake systems error” on the information cluster, then other lights and something about not reading the key to start the car. Anyway, the Renegade would not start. The battery had less than 11 volts. Errors were deceiving. The car left the factory October 2015 and is still original battery. At least happened at the house.
