It doesn't get quite that cold here in Colorado Springs, or even at the ski areas. We haven't hit -30 to -40 below zero yet but it's coming. North Eastern Vermont. 🥶
Did you have any issues with the battery other than start/stop not working? I have the same 2021 Trailhawk as you, and it's only about 9 months old. Everything has been working fine including start/stop. But last week, the car was parked for 4 days without driving it. When my son went to start it, the battery was dead and it had to be jumped. Is it normal for this car to have a dead battery after 4 days of sitting? There wasn't anything left on in the car that could have caused it to drain, but I know that Uconnect does have a built in cellular modem that uses a small amount of power. Most cars are smart enough to put the modem to sleep before the battery is dead, but maybe the Renegade isn't?Dealer had to replace it under warranty at the one-year point, because the auto stop/start wasn't working. They put in a DieHard AGM battery.
That's been my experience with other cars as well. But I'm wondering if this is a common problem with the newer Renegades because of the draw from the cellular modem.Generaltso. Not normal at all. My 2010 Mountaineer is put up for winter 5-6 months and will start right up.
We just purchased a used 2018 renegade latitude about 3 weeks ago. Has the original battery. It has sat for 3-4 days and starts right up. Going to replace the battery anyway because it's 4 years and have brutal wintersThat's been my experience with other cars as well. I've got a 2021 Trailhawk. The vehicle has often sat (in the garage) for two or more weeks straight, and I've never had a problem starting it.I'm wondering if this is a common problem with the newer Renegades because of the draw from the cellular modem.
Yeah. At that age, it apparently works fine... Right until the point that it suddenly doesn't...Has the original battery. It has sat for 3-4 days and starts right up. Going to replace the battery anyway because it's 4 years and have brutal winters

Well issue popped up with screen.
That's you at 69, not the TJ... Right? At 69 year's young my 2002 TJ with 180,000 miles has a radio and still works.
Just did a search (Jeep renegade with screen lines) A lot of folks say that a weak battery can cause the issue. That's still with the old battery?
I hadn't heard of that issue with an old battery. Can you link to the thread?

I'm less than a year behind you...
Yeah, all these electronics and automatic stuff is great.
Until it's not.
Not much can be done. Except for really keeping up with maintenance...

Just had an issue with low battery. It is -20 Celsius now (southern Alberta, Canada). Just went for a short drive. Got back into the garage but turned off the engine and continued to listen to the radio, also the headlights were on when the program ended exit the car. After few minutes got back into the car decided to pick up some groceries but got “power steering error”, then “brake systems error” on the information cluster, then other lights and something about not reading the key to start the car. Anyway, the Renegade would not start. The battery had less than 11 volts. Errors were deceiving. The car left the factory October 2015 and is still original battery. At least happened at the house.a weak battery can cause a lot of weird issues. i know mine was doing some things i didnt recognize.
We all (well, most of us) knew that. This is just one more weird issue to add to the list...a weak battery can cause a lot of weird issues.
