In Italy, Jeep posted an all-time annual sales record with volumes doubling over the prior year to more than 11,300 vehicles and market share increasing to 0.8% from 0.45%.
In December, brand sales passed the 2,300 unit mark, representing a 405% year- over-year increase, and market share increased a full 200 basis points to 2.5%.
The strong sales performance was primarily driven by the Grand Cherokee, which posted a 19% segment share for the year, and the newly-launched Renegade, which captured a 20.6% segment share in December and entered the top ten for the first time.
