Two sources have told Autonews Europe that the BU Jeep code named "renegade" is likely to show up named the Jeep Laredo.

The Jeep could be call the Laredo, two industry sources told Automotive News Europe. The Laredo is an iconic name for Jeep and was used for entry trim levels of Jeep models.

DO keep in mind that Laredo is a trim level for Jeep, a similar misconception happened around the time of the redesigned Durango when the WSJ bandied the name Citadel about when that was in fact a trim level....

Laredo also sounds good, i was suggesting Liberty.

I don't think that they would bring back Liberty so soon after the previous one was discontinued. I think that would cause confusion. I mean people can still buy new Libertys not to mention the used market.

What makes the Laredo trim special on the other models? When I search Jeep Laredo it shows a Grand Cherokee Laredo.

yea but DART was dead for decades.

you can't buy NEW liberty's. The model was killed for the KL Cherokee.

Laredo is the lowest trim package available on a Jeep, any Jeep.

And I guess it makes sense since the Laredo is usually the cheapest trim and the baby Jeep is going to be the cheapest Jeep
