Not too bad, thanks for sharing this.
I have to say that so far i'm really liking how they're going about marketing for the renegade.

What sort of promo video's do you think may be next for them to release?

They are going stylish to aim for some hip crowd, those who go for Minis or even Fiats...

However as I observe the young and hip society here in Montreal, what puzzles me is that the density of Subaru Forester is so high among these young stylish and urban small families yet I think Subaru's marketing is not even worried about these clients types

Subaru's marketing is worried almost exclusively with lifestyle types, although they haven't gone with celebrity/lifestyle endorsements too much. They've been beating the snot out of channel advertising for over a decade. Even in their broader reach spots, they still push active lifestyle, safety, etc. Tune into animal planet, and they'll be doing a lot of local cable buys of their dog commercials. They have a bunch of sponsorship of LGBT events and LGBT specific ads for print, video, etc. They do lots of sponsorship of lifestyle tie ins like cycling events, charity runs, etc. Often with tie in advertising material. I'd wager that more of their ad dollars go into that than into mass market ads.

Maybe they should focus on elderly people as well.

According to a study in the Netherlands, 65+ year olds make up 27,7% of all new vehicle buyers. While the 18-25 year youngsters account for a mere 1,8% of new vehicles sold.

This depends certainly on continents and the type of vehicles used by generation... Here retired people buy bigger cars than young ones and can afford some luxury sometimes

Dude, do you think showing youngish people being young, vital, and having fun is for the young people out doing that stuff?

No, it's so 40+ year olds heading into the land of empty nests can feel like they are hot young things when they pick up a a bike and some spandex riding gear while the kid(s) off at college. If it catches any younger folks, that's gravy.

Honda element, Scion xB, Forrester, kia soul etc. All really mostly sell/sold to 40+ year olds.

I agree if we compare the concept of the Renegade to the Soul and Juke...

Also it can create an unexpected clients profiles just like for example the Wii console did, meant for families and youngsters (pre PS3 crowd) ended up being for hipsters and those who do not want the realistic console like gaming thing?

Just my guess

I turned 60 this year (on the outside), but am still in my early 20's on the inside, and the Renegade is tops on my short list (a distant second on the list is the Subaru CrossTrek Hybrid!).

Waiting for the Renegade to be available for touching, driving, listening. My wife and I both want something quiet (so no all terrain treads), comfortable inside, about 30 mpg or so at hiway speeds (ie - 70mph and above), room for luggage (selling the house, already downsized our 'stuff' nicely - getting ready to do some long term travel to the ocean, any ocean), and $30k nicely fitted (ie - leather, safety stuff, electronic stuff, etc).

I want all wheel drive for those moments when safety or forward progress calls for it. I have my 97 Wrangler for real off-road thrills, so don't need mega-off road capabilities in this vehicle.

My gut is telling me the Renegade is going to be the vehicle for us, over the CrossTrek.
