Jeep Renegade Configurator

Does anyone know how much longer we have to wait until the configurator is up? I'd like to play with the options pricing to see exactly what sort of Renegade I'm going to order.

I was at the auto show in Detroit today and all they could tell me is "soon" :/

according to the website, "Stay tuned for a more complete Jeep® Renegade experience in the coming days with more features, specifications, comparisons and a chance to build your own."

the question is, how do you quantify "the coming days?"

Agreed. "coming days" means something much different to me than "coming weeks" or "coming months" does. Hopefully that does in fact mean "soon".

Days to most would mean a week or less but to Jeep it could mean 30 to 60 days from now...

I never found them pacifying. Briefly interesting perhaps, but mostly a tease.

They just piss me off cause the Europeans get xenon lights, panoramic roof, and anvil is available on all trim levels :| I want dat anvil lol

Waiting for Configurator to make its reveal too.

In the meantime, I'm looking for some pics of some punk to have slammed their Renegade and punked it up with some 22s and go-fast stikerz.

That'll take my mind off waiting......:mad:

I have virtually been checking the Jeep website daily for the last 3 weeks. To my delight, I was very happy the Renegade's initial pricing information showed up on Friday to give us an idea of at least starting price.

My only question is, is the My Sky going to be included in every version, including the Sport? I am only interested in the Sport or Latitude as I have no need for 4WD or to go off-road.

So if you want My Sky on the Sport you can only have the manual one and also you need to order Power & Air Group.

You can not get the power My Sky on a Sport.

The European, South American, and any other configurator I have looked at always pisses me off too as I get to see what I would buy if Americans had good tastes, like highly-optioned vehicles with manual transmissions. :mad:

It all has to do with cost. After reading the forums, people are already on the upset side of the cost of the Renegade (myself included). Adding Xeon (I really wanted that too), glass roof, and other options that Euro's get that we don't would add significantly to the cost of the Renegade and price it out of it's competition. The guru's at Jeep USA know adding all options to make a $35K Renegade would not go well. Jeep is not the only one that skimps on options either.

The spec sheet seems to say you can't get a tow package with a sunroof...really? The package bundling is confusing to me.

I did a double-take on that myself when I read it... it says "not available with My Sky fixed/removable sunroof" though, which leads me to believe it's available with the power sliding sunroof.

That's another of those frustrating choices. Being able to tow is one of the reasons I'm looking at the Renegade, but I didn't want the added expense of a power sunroof when a removable top panel would be fine for me.

Thanks for clarifying RA. It does seem as you start to wade through the options, one can't have everything, lol. The Renegade can tow my little 1100 lb popup, so tow package is a must for me. It'll be easier once they put the configurator up online!
