It looks as if it will be fair to assume the Renegade will be priced near the 20,000 EUR mark when it goes on sale later this year. Judging by the competition which I arbitrarily decided, please feel free to disagree :D

Renault Captur: 20 000 €
Ford EcoSport: 20 990 €
OPEL Mokka: 18 990 €
Peugeot 2008: 15 400 €

If Renegade cam come in at say 19,000 € with a great introductory kit I dont think there is anything going to stop Jeep aside from production constraints :D

I feel like the Jeep Renegade is going to try to price itself close to what the Ford EcoSport is going for. I'm not sure if they will be on par with it, slightly undercut it, or be more expensive. Do you think that the EcoSPort is the Renegade's biggest competition?

I think the Renegade will be a hit in Europe and the US because of size, off-road ability, fuel econ and price. I wouldn't be surprised if their predictions were off by a large percent.

It seems to me that the off-road capability wouldn't be the thing that brings European buyers the the Renegade. Don't European buyers care more about how a car functions in the city than how it does off-road. Unless it is more about the appearance of being able to go off-road. I just think that it is more about the look than it is about the actual capability.

the ecosport doesnt have as awesome of an AWD system as the Renegade though
but i guess maybe the base model prices could be similar.. im not sure what a base renegade enough comes with yet
Yeah when it comes to both base models they will be more comparable but as you move up into the trims that include more, there will be more to weigh out

well I dont think ford was ever really pushing the ecosport as a hardcore off roader anyways. Oh and as for cost, the Renegades AWD system is already in use under the KL Cherokee and the new 200 so costs have already been driven down...
