One question I think many are wondering.
HOW BIG IS THE JEEPSTER?!

Most of the spy shots we have seen are based on an extended Fiat platform.

Does anyone know what the dimensions are for the Fiat platform? It could give us an idea of the size of the Renegade (saying they keep the platform for production)

It's really hard to say what dimensions of the production model will be like looking at this and basing it off of this. What matters with this test mule is everything we can't see.

For all we know the Renegade shell could be inches longer and an inch or two wider.
BUT at least seeing this we get an idea of approximately how big it will be.

I think this photo does give you a better idea of what the ride height will be like with the Renegade. Its kinda impossible to tell from the picture what the dimensions will be though. The Fiat shell they are using has a short hood it looks like. The Renegade could be using something longer than that. At least I can see it in my head having a longer hood.

Definitely hard to say what dimensions will be like. For all we know there might be a 1 foot gap from the bottom of the windshield to where the top of the dash starts!

Jeep CEO Mike Manley said the baby Jeep will be 4.2 meters (165 inches) long, so 16 inches shorter, bumper to bumper, than the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. To put that in perspective its the size of a 1987 Cherokee XJ.

Recent spy shots suggest that it is a tad bit smaller than a Patriot

Which is larger than I expected but not a bad thing

Here it is beside the alfa giulietta to compare.

dimensions based off the wikipedia page for the Giuliette

Wheelbase 2634mm (103.7 inches)

Length 4351mm (171.3 inches)

Width 1798mm (70.8 inches)

Height 1465 mm (57.7 inches)

Also a good comparison is to look at the Fiat 500L dimensions. (also from wiki)

Wheelbase 2612mm (102.8 inches)
Length 4140mm (163 inches) / 4350mm (171.3 inches) Living model
Width 1780mm (70.1 inches)
Height 1660mm (65.4 inches)

Going off the 500L specs is a good thing to do, good point to start from, just need to remember that the Renegade will be a bit bigger.

it may change a bit but its based off the same platform so dimensions should be similar.

Being a Jeep I don't think its a big problem for it to be bigger. It doesnt have to be as small as the Fiat. That isn't what Jeep customers want in my opinion.
