Sorry to get your hopes up, but Jeep UK just announced pricing for the KL Cherokee. I wonder if we can glean any insight into Renegade pricing for our friends of the Kingdom?

Ok so now for the unbridled speculations...

Grand Cherokee begins at £37,705, so in the UK, the KL is priced at 67% of Grand Cherokee. Lets see if that's consistent with America...

KL Cherokee USD Price: $22,995
Grand Cherokee USD PRice: $29,395

Its not, KL is 78% of Grand Cherokee in the US... But lets see if the gaps are consistent across the American lineup.. Compass ($18695) is priced at 81% of KL.

In the UK the Compass is £18,470, which makes it 72% of KL. Fairly consistent with the gap between KL and GC.

Which means that the UK price as well as the US price are likely going to be priced right about what the Compass is priced at in order to keep pricing gaps consistent across the model line.

Apologies for the round about way of saying next to nothing At least you know what the KL is going for in the UK AHAHAHAHAAA

From what I've read the Renegade is to compete against the Nissan Juke and Qashqai, if so the prices will have to be at most around the £15k level for a base model IMO

I don't think Renegade is replacing the Compass as it's a B segment vehicle whereas the compass / Patriot is C segment, and Jeep are planning for a C segment vehicle replacement by 2016 according to their latest planned future timeline.

Yep, it's a C segment whereas Renegade is B segment

Above article suggests £13 000 to £21 000 price range which seems about right for the competition

Wow that conversion today would equal $21K - $35K in US dollars. Interesting that the article says the Renegade won't be available in Britain until Spring 2015.

I think it would give us a better idea about the US price if we take a look at a similarly priced vehicle e.g. Nissan Juke.

UK price: 13200, US price: $19170.

Then, if the range (13000-21000) in the article is accurate, that would put the Renegade just about $19000.

Having said that, I still hope the base model will be priced somewhere between Patriot and Compass (closer to Patriot would be awesome).

At 19k, there is no room to put a new jeep between it and the 22k Cherokee. I feel the Renegade will start at 15 to 16k to compete directly with the Kia Soul that starts at $14,900. I believe that is the crowd that Jeep is trying to target with the Renegade.

After hearing that a while back thats when the idea of a renegade that high in price got shot down, before this, pricing that high was possible.

Just going to say, i never expected them to come out with an inbetween model, didn't think it was needed.

I agree, I dont c the point of a jeep between the cherokee n the renegade. I didnt c the point of having the patriot when they had the liberty either.
I dont c how they can sell the renegade for 16k, seems too cheep. I was interested at 20k so 16k would be great I just dont c it happening
