Had to drive out of state to get it, and then drove it 5 hours home in a torrential downpour.

I like everything about it so far--31 mpg yesterday, Sirius (which I've never wanted or needed until now), the sound system, the intuitive controls, and the comfort. I really hesitated to buy due to the stories about transmission issues, but I experienced no problem whatsoever in fairly treacherous conditions on a prolonged initial drive, so maybe they've been solved? I'm optimistic.

I traded out of a Jeep Patriot, and I have to say, there isn't a single aspect of the Patriot I'd take over the Renegade. I'm glad I took the plunge, and glad I found this forum.

Welcome; and not all people have experienced transmission problems. I bought the first Trailhawk my dealer had in April and haven't had any problems.

Pictures?? I have a black TH also. LOVE IT!!
Yes! It just stopped raining this morning, so I'll definitely try to get some pics today.

I'm glad to hear you say that you love your black TH. I specifically waited for black (local dealer has only had red or white), and I even went out-of-state to find one. I know how hard it is to keep black vehicles clean, and so part of me wonders if I might seriously regret not getting the blue. But...probably shouldn't want a Trailhawk to look squeaky clean all the time anyway, right?

I have the black Latitude and I can tell ya that keeping black clean is a full on PAIN!
I love the vehicle, but I'm starting to dread the black...

When it's all clean and waxed (wax experiments in process) - it's a thing of beauty (well, for about 30 seconds because black is a dirt magnet!)

Glad to hear that you are having a positive experience with the Renegade so far. Welcome to the forum!

Are you going to do any custom work with your Renegade? Maybe just accessories?
I'd definitely like to. Unfortunately, I'm not much of an innovator--I usually wait to see what other people have done and say "That looks cool--I'll do that." Can you or anyone else recommend a good online Jeep accessories store? It's hard to know which sites are legit just by relying on a search engine.
