Just Ordered 260MPH corded electric leaf blower for Detailing

I’m a big fan of keeping swirl marks off my vehicles and have been using a battery operated 110MPH leaf blower to dry my vehicles for the past year(I’ll use this strictly for leaf blowing now). That wasn’t cutting it and am finally fed up with it so I ordered a 260 MPH corded electric (will strictly use this for detailing).

When I first saw someone using a leaf blower to dry their car I thought it was insanity! Now I’m the insane one, but it sure works! 🤓

EDIT: Here it is in action drying the Yukon:

Are you going to do a video of it for us?
Absolutely!

I also like to blow the snow off our vehicles. Here’s with my current 110MPH cordless. I can’t wait for my 260MPH (I was wrong in the title)!

By the way...that was my first YouTube video! Awesome! And it was really hard to hold the phone in one hand and the blower in the other. ;)

We call it a "garage." ;)
Yeah...that’s my wife’s Yukon and I put it outside for the night to detail mine. She’s never too happy when I do that. 😁

Ah, but in my garage I have a 1953 Willys CJ-3A, a 2005 two wheel drive Ural Gear Up (Russian sidecar motorcycle), a single axle trailer, a mint condition 1983 Honda Passport scooter (less then 1,000 miles, bought brand new), a full size table saw, full size drill press, 3 rolling toolboxes and two workbenches.

So my 2017 Latitude, my 2009 smart cabriolet and my wife's 2005 Jeep Liberty sit in the driveway.
You have a very understanding wife! Mine would never allow that! 😆
Oh, I understand. This was right after Snowmageddon in Feb 2009, in Suburban Maryland. Yardstick measured 26" of un-drifted snow:

That's our son's VW Jetta. We only had a two-car garage, and our two other VWs were in there. Three-car garages ever since then...
Wow! I bet you were stuck at home for a few days after that!
I don;t think the Jeep will do 250mph, you would have probably been good with the 110 model.
😆 I can always try.

I feel like using a blower is what young kids would call "extra," but I'm always in support of more toys! Lol

😂 Exactly!
same here. been using a blower to dry the cars after washing. less contact with the paint, less swirl marks. gets easier if you have a good hydrophobic coating on the car.
I’m glad someone is with me here! High five!

Or just drive it 160 MPH down the Interstate...
That certainly would be more fun.

Finally had a chance to use the new 260MPH blower to dry off the Yukon. It was really hard holding it in one hand and video in the other, so I was all over the place with it and not from the top down as I usually do. ;) For only $100 I’m definitely happy with it! Cordless models seem to be 3x more expensive and I couldn’t find one with 260MPH spec.

Absolutely brilliant and ingenious alternative use as usual.

You are certainly get your moneys worth: leaf blower, snow blower, car dryer. What's next :LOL:
I was thinking about drying my hair with it next. Then maybe I can do this...
