A poorly written review by a somewhat clueless writer. It does give some insight on Jeep's main target audience for the Renegade line. Anyone expecting to see the TH trim in large numbers is just plain wrong. Also, there does appear to be MySky vehicles out there; perhaps only in press fleet service.

A very long winded and stupid way of saying North Hollywood hipster. Watch Jeep's own official commercial for the Renegade and you'll understand.

North of North Hollywood is close to the desert (well, once you get through the rest of the valley), so it's a statement that it's a fashion car. It's kind of a weird statement to come from the LA press, where plenty of people with redwings or danners and beards or whatever go out into the desert or mountains. It's a thing, it's why a lot of people live here. You get the city but you are very close to the middle of nowhere. These aren't Brooklyn hipsters getting free range eggs from their roof, people here actually do go out all the time into the wild.

My NY vocabulary wasn't of much help either. I kept thinking "how can anyone never go past NoHo (NOrth of HOuston, the neighborhood directly above SoHo or SOuth of HOuston), they're missing most of NYC by staying in lower Manhattan!" Not to mention the hipster crowd is all over the damned place.

And that's why I said the review was poorly written. You can tell the author didn't do much homework on the background of the Renegade and just doesn't get it. It's like the car was never on his radar, and had never seen one until he was assigned to write about it. He didn't like the way it looks at first sight and took every opportunity to make fun of it... and his assignment.
