Go here for a description of the lifetime warranty plans available and a price quote. http://www.chryslerwarrantys.com/lifetime_warranty.cfm
The price varies depending on the plan and the deductible you chose.
The Lifetime Max Care plan with zero deductible, if I remember right, was around $3,400.
Correction the last time checked the price for the lifetime bumper to bumper warranty on a Renegade Trailhawk it was $4,596 with zero deductible, $3,723 with $50 deductible, and $2,896 with $100 deductible

Just bought a Latitude yesterday. They wanted $2,916 to extend warranty from 3/36,000 to 7/70,0000. Thought that was outrageous and passed. Then got offered Powertrain warranty that covers a bunch of stuff for as long as you own the car (no year or mile maximum) for $1,000 with $100 deductible. Since I own my vehicles from new to grave, didn't think that was too bad and bought it.

The lifetime warranty I was offered at the dealership was $3,950. I don't know what the deductible would've been. I thought it was really expensive so I passed. I might buy the lifetime warranty later though. If you didn't buy the lifetime warranty at the dealership you can still buy it later right?

At my local dealer, it was $2,200 to extend the basic warranty to 5yr/50k, or$2,900 to 7yr/70k. And $1,000 to extend power train to partial lifetime coverage.

It is worth mentioning however, that they cut the financing percentage down (actually several percentage points, from 6.04 to 1.9) for buying the extended warranty, so total it only added about $10-$15 a month. Just a thought to check into.

Thanks. Looks like approx $2800 w/$100 deduductible. If this was a Hyundai or a Toyota it would seem foolish, but given Jeep's reliability rating it is something to consider for those keeping it more than a decade.
