Greetings from Brooklyn, as the title says I have been following for months but this is my first post, funny that I am posting from a jeep service waiting room. ?

I custom ordered an anvil trailhawk fully loaded with all options except for the road safety stuff from bay ridge jeep in Brooklyn on April 19. Took delivery on July 28. As far as the dealer goes they have me one **** of a deal as they are a USAA preferred dealer, but everything after the order with them has been a nightmare. Pretty sure they did not do a full PDI except take it out of shipping mode and having it cleaned. So if you are in the Brooklyn are and want a great price on a jeep but zero customer service after driving off the lot try bay ridge!

I have been following a bunch of the major posts and have a few of the problems described.
Service 4wd light came on at 160 miles for one drive cycle then went away. I tightened the battery terminal connections my self and have had no other problems with that but having it checked all the same.
My Mpg have been horrible. At 345 miles I have a lifetime average of 15.1 and my last tank was 18.5, 70/30 highway/city. I am having the service center doing the software updates for that right now so hopefully that fixes it.

The power mysky is great and love taking the panels off. The do creak and rattle a bit when they get warm through out the day, but even after all the heavy rain they don't leak so I will just follow the thread about the rattling to see what jeep comes up with. But as long as it works and does not leak I am not to concerned. (I have a 2012 4door wrangler and jeep had to give me a whole new hardtop to stop the freedom panels from leaking but after that they work great with no leaks so at least I know at some point jeep will do the right thing.)
Did the self update to the new software version to the 6.5 uconnect and it brought along with it the disappearing back up lines, but it also seems to run a touch faster so I will live with it until the next update.

Everything else has been a blast though. It is a nice ride, love the smaller profile for city driving and parking and I have used the uconnect phone app a few times to remote start it from afar to cool off that leather on hot days and it has worked flawlessly. The app is a bit rudimentary but it functions well. Hope today's software updates fix the MPG issue and I will be about 90% satisfied.
I am a member of a few forums and don't post much but always learning from them, so keep up with posting that great info and dealer fixes for common problems

The updates may "turn off" the back up lines, but you should be able to go into the settings and turn them back on.

The problem is the back up lines randomly turns off in a whim, then I have to turn them in again. I will just wait for the next software patch.

Service did 5 control module updates, sad thing is they told me that they should have been done during the pre delivery inspection. I ask if they would do a full PDI on it but I did not have the time it would have taken. I plan on having them do it later, and generate a list of things that where missed and if it looks like they didn't do at least 50% of the PDI, go back to the dealer and fight for a refund on the $950 delivery fee.

Topped off the tank today and reset the MPG meter and will see how things go. Butt dyno feels like it shifts a lot smoother and tends to jump to higher gears sooner. Downshifting feels a little smarter as well. I want 2 tanks of my normal driving to see if their is a real difference in MPG

Thanks guys, like I posted above jeep eventually will do right if you just stay on top of things and find a good service department. I hate to come off as everything is bad. I really like this little jeep just got to iron out some bugs

I hope that they at least adjusted tyres pressure since usually cars are shipped with higher tyre pressure.

So I got to take a long trip to Maine from Brooklyn and the software updates have given a dramatic improvement to my MPG, picked up 10 mpg overall average and now that I am back to my normal driving it is still improving. I did notice a weird thing during the highway cruising. I like to cruise most of the highway drive at 75; if I did not use the cruise control the transmission would shift into 8 and 9th gear no problem, if I used cruise control it would never shift out of 7th, and MPG would tank unless I manually shifted it into the higher gears. If I set the cruise control at 70 or below it would again use 8 and 9th no problem. It was as if it decided to trad fuel economy for more consistent power at higher speeds while using cruise control. I don't think this is a problem so much as just strange programming.

Took the mysky panels off a lot and boy are these easy to take off and put on compared to the wrangler freedom panels, and they do not leak after several removels installs. The only initial problem I had was putting them
In the bag while it was in the trunk, as the foam dividers would keep falling back into the bag while putting in the first panel. My solution has been to remove the foam from the Velcro straps, place the first panel in, the pit the dividers on the panel, and put the second panel in. With the bag zipped up the dividers stay where they are supposed to between the panels. Overall makes it way easier putting the panels in while the bag is in the trunk.

The roof still rattles and creaks when it gets warm out but I barely notice it now. Hasn't gotten worse so I will just wait and see.
