Hi all, my first post here. Has anyone seen the latest TSB 09-008-16 regarding engine vibration calling for a Longblock replacement? This seems kind of alarming to me, can't find any info on this matter and curious if this has been done by anyone on here.

I think I may be heading that way, because I have a vibration into the chassis and steering wheel since I boght the Trailhawk. They replaced so far the Steering column, nothing changed, right side engine mount, nothing changed, it will folow soon left side engine mount, it is ordered waiting for the part to arrive next week, I am preaty sure will not solve the problem and next step will be the engine replacement, which really pisses me off. Is a 2.0 Diesel engine.

I guess I didn't know that. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
Yes. Gently handled. Well done.

My 1.4 has quite a rough buzz until the oil gets fully warmed up then its smooth as glass. Sorry 2.0 and 2.4. Easier to replace the whole long block than regrind a crank at the dealer.

Is the only symptom a vibration?

I thought that was characteristic of a 4-cylinder. I’ve been living with some vibration from the engine in my Renegade but it has always been the same and never worsened. I had not noticed it until I lent it to my sister and daily drove the Jag for 6 months. Then the vibration became obvious; the Jag’s V8 is silky smooth.

I’m going to check the build date of my 2016. I might take it to the dealer with the TSB on hand to get it checked out.
