Hi all,

I have been researching this like crazy and am about to pull the trigger on a new set of tires for my renny. I would prefer not to have to run spacers right away since most shops around me won't mount tires if you have wheel spacers. And I don't want to do any cutting or anything if I can avoid it. I have winter tires that came with it from the dealer and now that we are getting better weather and closer to Spring, I want to get a more aggressive AT style tire. I have Rage R20 17x8 wheels with a 40mm offset. Which are close to stock size I believe. I am currently running 225/60R17 and have the 1.5" Daystar lift.

The sizes that I am seeing being used:
225/65r17
235/65r17 (from what I know these will require wheels spacers)
235/60r17

What is my best bet for tire size? Are there any others that I can get a beefier look with and not have to worry about rubbing and whatnot? Basically looking for the largest tire I can get without needing spacers or cutting anything.

I have a FWD, no lift, with +31 offset wheels. I'm running Cooper AT3 235/65r17. They do NOT rub but you can barely see light shine between the wheel and fender well at full turn.

I have stock wheels, 2.5" spacers. Stock height latitude. I have Atturo Trail Blade XT 235/65/17s on her right now. no rub to speak of.

I have a 2015 renegade lattitude came with 17s and i upgraded to the 18 inch dawn of justics wheels. I have an atp 2inch lift i was wondering whats the max tire size for the 18s as im in need of tires. Was looking at the falken wildpeak atp3s but dont wanna run the stock 225/55r18 they look like car tires. Does anyone know if the 235/60r18 would fit. Really wanna know before i purchase them

I ended up getting the 225/60r18 falken wildpeaks and they fit like a glove. No running on full turns and they look very aggressive. Plus the ride quality was amazing my next set im pushing for the 235/65r18 thats if I don't change my wheel setup. Im might do some 16s off road wheels with some 235/70r16 all terrian tires

That’s the same tire I got but I put on a 235/55 18 and there is absolutely no rubbing even when on rocks etc.

I got the same tire but 235/55 r18 and they don’t rub at all. The keeps a little dirty but here’s what they looked like.

I know this post is a few years old, but where did you get 2.5” spacers?? I’m looking to get the Arturo’s & I can find tons of 2 inch spacers but no 2.5 (that keep the same bolt pattern) any idea if that half of an inch is needed? Thanks!

You can run those with a little rub up front. You will need to grind down the pinch seam a little to get zero rub.
