Hello,
My car does not come with a back-camera, but the option exist on the cars radio unit.
Does anybody know if there allredy is a wire harness for the camera since there is a lot of models that have the factory camera? So i can just buy an plug it in or do i have to wire it?

Another question is, i have the Jeep Renegade Diesel 2,0 MJT 140hp,
is there a diffrence between the 140hp and the 170hp engine?

I have searched the forum and seen a few replies for Rico but as it involves copying and pasting after searching it led me onto a different thread.

It has not yet been answered therefore can a non standard Jeep Rear camera be wired up to a drivers internal mirror as suggested by Halfords?

In the U.S. these cameras are regarded as a safety feature and have been standard equipment since 2018. Your 2015 renegade might not have the wiring harness in place inside the rear liftgate. If it is there it will be a natural colored (hazy white) connector with a red wire, a white wire, and possibly a black wire also. it will be above where the license plate/tag is located.
You can mount your own and run the wires yourself. However you can not just plug in to the existing radio and expect it to work. The CANBUS system controls system through the radio and would need the proper codes. A stand alone unit might be your only option. I installed a Dash Cam and placed the rear camera inside at the top of the window. I also placed the wire in with the Renegades wiring for a clean installation.

With the wide angle camera I have a very good view of the road behind.

I realize you can't even see the camera clearly from this angle. The dark shadow between the head rests is actually the front dash cam. The rear camera is in the circle.
