I wanted leather seats which is why I got a limited but I loved the black grille and mirror covers on the TH and sport. So I knew the first thing I was gonna do was either dip them or buy black ones. I'll probably get the black ones in future or find someone to trade with. But I'm happy with how they turned out for a $6 can of plasti-dip.

Awe... I thought it was going to be your whole car. The grill looks nice though.

I'm waiting to do my entire car. Its white now, but I'm thinking all red including the black trims. I don't car too much about switching the color, but more because I want a plastic armor for when I go offroading. I already have some offroad pin striping.

Did you have to remove the bumper or just the grille? Any tips would be appreciated.

Wander how your spray can paint job on grill and mirrors will stand up against all the bugs and all??? Factory paint takes a beating the way it is with bugs and I always end up having to get touch-up paint to fill-in the chips and all from those stupid bugs!!!!!

I've had my badges plasti-dipped for two years and are only just starting to chip on the edges. It's very easy to repair- it isn't paint. It's almost like spray rubber, just peel off or spray on another layer.

I have done a ton with plastidip in the past....I did the whole interior of one of my old cars. This is a perfect application - looks amazing. Curious how it's gonna hold up from the rock chips etc (at least its an easy fix ;))

Killer work! I'm jealous - this was my only hold up with the limited. The silver grew on me, but now seeing this - I love the contrast vs the green. Not sure how it would look on my black one.

my original plan was to take off the grille because I didn't want to tape around it. Then I discovered that you have to remove the bumper first. I got frustrated with the idea of doing that so I winded up taping around grille.

I think that since the grille is up high, unlike if you dip rims, it's pretty safe from anything like pebbles hitting it. The only things that have hit my grille so far are the bugs.

Looks great, could you do the roof rails too? They look a bit lonely now in the silver.
I was thinking about it at first but it would ruin the functionality if I was ever to get rail attachments. It bothers me a lil but not a whole lot. There's still other silver accents that I don't mind like the rear skid plate and brake lights. I'm hoping to find someone who would want to trade silver for black ones.
