It doesn't look bad from the pictures but I am sure in person you can see the imperfections. Sorry man that sucks.
I think the guy just doesn't want to fix his mistake. some parts will relax a little, but the the crease in the middle can't be fixed. First time he told me to wait a couple of weeks. I called him back a week after install and told him we needed to correct the problem. At that point he told me how much money it was going to put him out and that we needed to wait 30 days. I know it wouldn't be acceptable if it was his vehicle, so why should he think it's acceptable in mine?Yea..... That looks terrible. Why the 30 days? It isn't going to miraculously correct itself!![]()
What about the body shop that outsourced it to the accessory shop, aren't they liable in any way? "how much money it was going to put him out ". Really!?! No way... I'd be demanding it gets fixed properly. I don't know if I would trust them with my vehicle if this is their business practice though.... So sorry you're dealing with this...I called him back a week after install and told him we needed to correct the problem. I've posted about this before, but I'm having an aftermarket sunroof put in. However, just as the dealership was about to install the typical one...the one used in the Grand Cherokee...they were concerned about the ribs. So they did some investigating and realized, Webasto was selling the factory installed sunroof, made specifically for the Renegade. Webasto is the company that Jeep employed to install them for the European models at the factory. Long story short, it takes a month to receive from Italy. Mine is almost here. Then two day install. Paid $1600. Will post pics when available. From this picture it sure looks like you got an after market sunroof installed in your Renegade. Is so then let us all know what brand you have in and please post other pictures both from inside and outside. Love to see how they handled the ribs on the roof. Love to see up close pictures of how the roof ribs meet at the sunroof edge. And on the inside do you have a roller sunshade or a solid, hard sunshade. And what did it cost you?
Regarding your headliner problem you should take it to the sunroof installer to have them put in a new headliner.

My response to a 30 day wait would be this...Long story short, I had hail damage and got paintless dent repair. The headliner had to be removed to complete the pdr. The body shop outsourced the headliner to an auto accessories shop. I feel like they did a bad job, but they want to wait 30 days before they will even attempt to fix their mess up. Please give my any advice.
