Hi Brand new to the forum and just ordered a 2022 Renegade Trailhawk from he factory. Will take about 6 months to get it,, darn! But in the meantime want to get my list together on what to get for it. I had to sell my totally modified 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with a 4" lift with everything on it and the kitchen sink. Had to downsize because of "wrecked knees" I am a geologist so I need to modify the Trailhawk because I get into some wild territory so the first thing I have to budget for is a lift and offroad tires. I have always run BF Goodrich A/T's on my \Wranglers (have had 7 of them) so this is a new kettle of fish for me and I HOPE I made the right decision
ANy of you rinning BF Goodrich A/T's on your Trailhawks? Are they available for Trailhawks adn what do you think of the wheels that come with it... Can't replace those right away since I have to budget all over again. Haven't even paid for the ones on the Wrangler yet. Have see some great photos of modified Renegades so I think there is hope.....that I will grow into it

Welcome
I've always had good luck with the BF Goodrich a/T (K02) the factory wheels are just fine
Thank you so much that is what I was hoping as I have used them on my Wrangler and love them so good to know I can use them on the Renegade.. Did you put bigger ones on yours?? Is it lifted or jst straight onto the existingwheels with no lift? I appreciate it "Jeepalady"

Slightly larger size 225 /65-17 on existing wheels but not sure what size the factory wheels are on a 22,
No lift just the tires and I manage to keep up with the 4 runners and land cruisers in our group (not the Jimny's though they are like mountain goats)

They are 17 " wheels but I probably will still get a lift to satrt cuz with my geology job I get into some wild areas.. I am feeling a bit apprehensive as I am giving up my 2020 Wrangler Unlimited only because I have developed bad arthritis from years of lugging "boulders" LOL and carrying 75 lb backpacks and it also has a 6" lift so my knees are taking a beating so I need more power options that I can't get on my Sport so I hope I did the right thing.. How are you liking yours? SOunds like you can pretty much keep up with the big guys so that is good to know

Wish I was in Japan. Been trying to get back there to do more exploring and visiting friends for almost 3 years! (Last trip was November 2019.)

My $0.02.

The renegade is not really a "go over it" kind of off roader. It's a small "go around it" kind of off roader. I would not go up in tire size too much. You can get 225 65 17 KO2s.You will suffer more in fuel economy than other AT tires due to the weight, but they are the best you can do on the platform for tire toughness. They will be close to stock diameter and not make the low torque of the platform worse.

Replacing the drive shaft skid plate might be a good idea. Factory is kind of junk. Adding a rear diff skid plate might be a good idea. There is no factory one.

2" lifts are less headache than a 4". I suggest you search the forum and read the threads on people dealing with end links on lift kits.

Welcome and I hope you have better luck than I did on a factory order. I bought a 2016 TrailHawk and did the factory order because I wanted the tow package and no one have one available anywhere in a 3 or 4 state area. I was told at that time my order would take about 8 to 10 weeks. However, it got delayed and at the 3 1/2 month stage they lost the order completely and I was told I would have to start over. About a week later the dealer called and said they had gotten one delivered that had everything I wanted. The only drawback was that it also had several things more that I had not ordered and was about $3000 more. I decided to take it and ended up being very glad I did because I ended up liking nearly every one of those "extras". Now, here in 2022, I still have my Renegade and have had very little issues with it and still love it. I might be looking for a new one or upgrade to another Jeep.

Hello, and welcome!
I love my 2016 Jeep Renegade, and love doing the mods for it, so, here are a couple of sites I go to for parts...
carid.com - for most everything needed for the Renegade,
Welcome to American Trail Products - for lift kits, they have a 2" and a 4" lift available,
Automotive Lighting Store | ORACLE Lighting - for just about all the lights you would need (you can find full circle halo lights)
Start Shopping - car parts and accessories - MADNESS Autoworks - they have tuning mods to correct the responsiveness of the engine.
Have a great time!
