Hello all!

I bough my new jeep renegade just two weeks ago. So excited absolutely love it, but I guess I'm one of the ones plagued my the transmission issue. Didn't even hit the 800 mile mark on my car and the transmission went on a road trip up to Boston. Car is still in Boston and hoping to hear back from Chrysler's case people today to figure out what to do about this but just be careful! I'm sure it will all work out but definitely not a fun experience at the moment!

went out how? Going into limp mode went out, or really mechanically failed went out?

Went out meaning stopped working. I slowed down and was barely able to speed up enough to get off the highway. I luckily was able to coast off the highway and get into a parking spot but could no longer accelerate. I was originally told that it was just a part they needed to replace, but then were told by the engineers (which they sent pictures of the transmission to) that the whole transmission would probably need to be replaced and they had to send a "kit". As of right now I have not been specifically told what the problem was.
