Ok so the first shipment is finally making it to dealerships. I test drove a trailhawk in Mass today. I loved it. However I won't buy a renegade without Mysky. I think it is safe to assume that Mysky will have to be on the next few shipments. So I am wondering if anyone has any info on upcoming shipment schedule. Can anyone read the Italian calendar on the port for outgoing shipments. Just a shot in the dark.

So I'm currently at 24 jeep in brockton ma and just test drove a white trailhawk. Talking to dealer now but will likely have a jeep/Mopar sunroof installed instead of waiting for mysky. Mysky seems clunky and I would rather have a see through top than have to put the sunroof back or remove the panels. The roof of the renegade creeps very far fwd so having some light peeking through overhead is important to me.

Also i was told the mysky key to remove the panels is separate from the main key. Why do this jeep? Just another thing to lose.

In the Renegade brochure it says two options for My Sky does that mean it's automatic and removeable panels all in one? Or you order automatic or the removable panels? I had my heart set on a sunroof but I also want the glass one. So now I'm not sure what to do. Should I just not pay the extra $2000 since it's not glass. I like the extra light.

No glass for the U.S. for now. Choice one, manual removable only. Choice two, front half electric slides open, part way OR manually remove both.

Suggest you and everyone else in the world calls Jeep to voice your complaint about the missing glass roof. Email them if you can figure out their email address. And do like me, just don't buy it until they bring in the glass roof version. Someone in this forum posted pictures of their new red Renegade that they got in Europe, equipped with the glass roof. It's a beautiful car, super cool looking roof, no hassles taking off My Sky panels to stow them in the trunk.

Just voice your opinion. Hopefully if they get hundreds or thousands of requests for the glass roof then maybe they just might bring them stateside.

One dealer I trust (okay, that just felt weird typing those words together) said that they expect "a whole lot more three weeks after the first shipment." They are a high volume seller so I tend to believe them. But nothing confirmed, of course.

Purchased the one on the lot in MA

Six hours after it got off the truck, I purchased the Commando Green Trailhawk that my car dealership got here in Western Massachusetts. I was going to go for the Latitude but by the time I added what I wanted, it made sense to get this Trailhawk. And I was able to drive this one off the lot instead of waiting! I had been holding off until I saw the green in person, but it's more Army green than some of the brighter spring green that I saw in some photos online. They had cleared a spot for it in the showroom since they only got one, but I grabbed it! My poor car is on its last legs (198K miles on original clutch that is about two weeks away from needing a new one) so I just went for it. Very excited!

I am opting to just get the renegade with the solid roof.

1. Most of my friends jeeps that have any of their removable tops or the liberty with the slide top wore a ton over time.. causing excessive wind noise and trouble re installing after a few years.

2. I am not a big moon/sun/sky/ roof guy. Hot sun on my head and neck isn't made for my pale A$$. But to each their own!

I am waiting however till the next shipment because I want a latitude with a freaking tow hitch so I can put my bike rack and motorcycle rack on it. My family dealer said the next shipment is 2-3 weeks out. More colors more options.

I already have a motorcycle, ATV, and boat so I don't need the fancy sunroof.

I already have a loaded 2014 Grand Cherokee with all the bells and whistles and the diesel motor.

Give me a basic 4wd car with a turbo and and manual transmission and give it to me for $20k :D

Wow! First post, though I've been following the forum almost everyday since last summer :) Looking to get the orange Trailhawk. Was thinking electric MySky for sure. I hesitate waiting till 2016 model just to SEE if they get glass moonroofs/sunroofs, only to be disappointed they don't include glass afterall.

So jlipinkski you might have solved an issue I had forgotten to think about--having a sunroof installed. What did you find out from the dealer about this issue? Cost? Installation time? Reliability? Any info would help.

P.S. This will be my first Jeep....so...fingers crossed it all works out.

I said I drove it off the lot, which I sort of did, but I didn't take it home because it was so new the VIN number wasn't in the system and though I live in Western Mass, I bought over the line in Vermont so it is going to take an extra day to get all the paperwork done and Mass RMV is a pain to deal with, especially with it just coming in and not being in their system. I'll grab a few more photos of the Commando Green color and post soon!

One option is retractable and they are removable. The other is just removable.

Yeah and I talked to the sales guy again today because he wanted to make sure of doing this, and their mopar shop guy said no problem whatsoever. They'd put in the same jeep-backed sunroof as they'd do on a cherokee or grand cherokee and it would be warrantied with the car. Doing the sunroof would only set the car back 2-3 days from pickup.

He claimed it was an $1800 job that he would "mark down" to $1250 if I bought the car. With power mysky at $1400 anyways I thought it was reasonable.
