I had a problem with a loud clanking noise when I shifted into reverse. See Video: https://youtu.be/0DxdsLWGzMU


They replaced the transmission mount and that has gotten better, but not gone, but now there is a weird sound when I'm in park and I hit the brake pedal. It's coming from the transmission and the steering column. See video:

Is anyone else having these issues? I want to like this car but it's really annoying me! It goes back in for service on Friday.

That's the interlock. Granted, yours seems louder than all the ones I have encountered, but I don't know how much gain there is on the recording. It's the thing that keeps you from putting it in gear without a foot on the brake pedal.

Ok, I tested this out on mine with everything silenced.

I'm pretty sure this is normal after trying it out. When you do the gear selection, you are also activating a solenoid in the steering column tom the sound of it. That would be the interlock to prevent you from turning on the engine while in gear.
