Alright so some of you have seen some of my posts trying to figure out the true status of my TH order from 5/29. Until last week when Jeep Cares told me on the phone it was D1 with no VIN and no dates then this week I hear not only from another forum that you can track your vehicle status but also my dealer that it's actually D1 and as of 2 days ago finally a VIN but still in D1 with no other dates. I just checked online with them and they told me my ETA to dealer is just 10 days away on 7/20?!?!?! lol WTH, if this is true when did it ever make it to the docks for the trip? I am as I posted in the title so confused. I am going to call again tomorrow and see if I get the same answer. Honestly I wouldn't mind it taking another month or so as much as I want it since every 2 weeks I add a 1K to as my girlfriend call is "Jeep Money" fund...lol

Huh... my order was "officially" taken on 6/1, so right after yours. I got my VIN number on 6/29, so not too far off of your and being in Michigan, not too far away. What model/options did you order? Mine is a TH with hitch, leather seats & MySky. Like you, would love to have it tomorrow, but don't mind waiting a couple extra weeks (in my case, so I can see if I can sell my car for $1k more than they will give me for trade in).

Anyway, congrats... and where in Illinois are you? I have family down in so Ill.

Great news. The VIN gets assigned when your vehicle gets to JB status, so you were in JB status then. Hope something like this will happen to me! But, same as you I keep saving in the meantime!

Also, when they gave you that VIN, they may have found another vehicle that was already being made that was an exact match for yours & are pulling that to give you. Don't know how true, but my dealer told me that could happen when I placed my order. This would make more sense with your order time frame.

Mine is black TH with power MySky, Nav/Sirrius, 9 speaker and sub, Popular Equipment group, keyless go and remote start.

I'm just south central Illinois, Mattoon. It's 45 miles south of Champaign.

Nice! Congratulations! Still waiting for my manual 1.4T with Power MySky - JB for almost a full month now. Would be awesome to have this happen!
