0w20 is only a synthetic. Bring your own oil and have them use it.

Engine Oil type for 2.0 CRD is 0W30 Fully synthetic according to the European dealerships.

The brand is not so important if all specs are according to OEM, I choose a good brand as MobilOil,
(have very good professional experiance with the brand regarding performance, consumtion and analyse reports)
So I use the Mobil 0W30 Formula P / Super 3000 Acea C2

I am looking up what oiltype the Gearbox needs, so if anyone knows more about this, welcome

Does anyone know the type and grade of oil the dealer is supposed to be using for an oil change ? The reason I ask is that my dealer was not even aware it is supposed to be a synthetic. This may be something we all have to watch since there is no sticker on the engine saying what to use unlike other vehicles.

find a new dealer, they do not know what they are doing. recommended is pennzoil 0-20 full synthetic for the 2017 traihawk 2.4L

So with the 2.4L is the recommended 0w20 oil a synthetic oil? Is the oil that came in the car from the factory synthetic? I called the dealership I purchased the car from and they said it is a synthetic oil change for $80. I also inquired about the oil change message telling when to change the oil and he said not to go more than 5,000 miles. I called two other jeep dealers in the area and they were around $40 with no mention of the 0w20 being synthetic. Any thoughts/comments/recommendations?

synthetic oil changes in New Jersey is around $80.00. for $40.00 you are not getting the proper oil

i use on my 1.4 mutiair Petronas digitek 0w 30

OW-30, page 185 of the Renegade manual clearly instructs that fully synthetic be used on both petrol and diesel models.

My 2016 Rene 75th anniversary 2.4L, is just about due for oil change. This week Canadian Tire has Mobil 1 Oil on sale and want to grab 3~4 jugs. Wondering which one would you go with.

I’d say and I use Mobil 1 5w30 High Milage Extended Performance Synthetic.
