Optional Sunglasses Holder

In my usual daily search of stuff for the Renegade, I come across a Sunglass holder that might be worth looking into since the Renegade does not have a place for sunglasses.

On Amazon it is the Dorman 924-071. There aren't alot of photos to give you an idea of its application. But over at ECS Tuning, it shows you alot more images.

Since I rarely ever use the overhead handle bars on the driver side, this accessory looks ideal.

Anyway, I superimpose it on a Renegade to see what it would look like.

What you say? Yea, Nay or go away. lol

I like it. I was just considering getting a clip of some kind to keep it on the dash above the instrument cluster. This is much more discreet and I really don't use that handle anyway.
Interested to see if someone tries this if it works well in the Renegade. One review stated that most sunglasses wouldn't fit? Like the concept!
Fiat had the exact same eyeglass holder shown on their pre-production prototype of their Fiat 500L. But when it came out it came without it being optional. I think it's a great place to put a pair of sunglasses or a spare pair of glasses.

Thinking about this for the dash grab bar:

In the Renegade built in brazil there is included this sunglasses holder. In Italy we can't find the code of this part, we don't know if the research could be easier for you.

Yeah, one of the reviews says it doesn't fit most sunglasses. I went ahead and ordered this instead:

They just clip on to the visor and hold more than one pair. And it is cheaper.

One of the review says only small sunglasses will fit in that case. I'm wearing aviator style sunglasses and they are not exactly small.

I'm also not sure about losing the roof handle. Might need it to drag my old are back into or out of the seat after a wild animal attack. :x
Can I get somewhere the holder from Brazil?

Ok I'm hoping to resurrect this thread. Has anyone found a visor clip that actually fits on the visor? I found most don't fit on the thick visor. Any other sunglass storage solutions? Thanks in advance

This sunvisor sunglasses clip from amazon works just fine. One does need to bend the wire away from the plastic a little bit, using a pair of pliers, to make it fit looser, but the overall dimension of the wire loop fits the Renegade visor. (Just bend the wire until the wire of the clip is essentially parallel to the plastic part and it will slip right over the visor without gouging it.)

You can get the same device in your local WalMart in the auto accessories isle.
I just ordered this one. Everything I read seems to show that it fits on thick visors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BGZZ0DY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I like it. Like, really like it. I might want to see more before I commit.. Because the number 1 problem with this might be functionality. If someone gave it a shot and uploaded a video I might try it :) I would also be interested to see if the colour matches the other grab bars.. wouldn't want it to stand out too much. I really dont know why that grab bar is there.. like.. drivers usually have both hands on the wheel even off roading.. who's going to be grabbing that thing? xD
