I have heard that the MySky has quite the projected wait time attached to it (up to 4 months), so I opted to go MySky-less. Ordered on Thursday 4/2, and the build process began Friday 4/10. I know the delivery will be a large chunk of the time but I was pleasantly surprised at the fact it only took a week to at least START the build.

My question: has anyone ordered and received their Renegade (without MySky)? How was the process for you? I know each situation is different but I'm curious to see if I can get more of an idea beyond "6-10 weeks"?

For my order, it took around a week for the factory to accept the order and the build took place around another two weeks after that, taking a week in itself, which brings us to four weeks as of now.

My Renegade is now awaiting an available departure from Salerno, which will take 7-10 days to reach the UK and then up to a further two weeks to go through the import process before reaching my dealer. All told it should be 8 to 10 weeks.

Note that this is a UK order, but seeing as UK and US orders all get built at the same factory and leave from the same port, it should give you a reasonable idea. As you say, the biggest chunk of time will be shipping it over to you as the ships used often make multiple calls between Salerno and their final destination.

Ah! Good to know, especially considering the previous comment informed me that they just recently started taking orders. I've never ordered before, and with this being a brand new model + an import, I figured this would be the only place with good info. Even my sales rep (who has been great thus far) nor his manager wanted to give me an ETA because they didn't want to speculate. Thanks guys, and here's to waiting!

I have no dates at all with My Sky option...which I had really wanted.
Seems like this will push back deliveries quite a bit...as I ordered over 5 weeks ago, and still not in build status....unlike how quick it seems to go when one doesn't add that option.

I'm in Utah and four dealerships have quoted 4 month delivery for a non MySky Trailhawk order.
I don't know if trim affects it (I don't see why it would). I'm in St. Louis and was told 6-10 weeks for my Sport, but he didn't sound too confident in his answer. I think he gave me the standard time for a non-Renegade, but these seem to be another ball game. All that said, I would take 10 weeks in a heartbeat.

Thanks for that. I had a another dealer this morning contact me after she talked to to their ordering manager/general manager. Their understanding is 10-12 weeks--that the 4 months answer was the other dealerships just siding WAY too far on the side of caution.

P.S....REALLY helps being only 3 hours from Moab. We've got 8 Jeep dealers within an hour and a half radius.

Sorry, how are they trying to push MySky sales?
I don't think they're so much pushing MySky as they are trying to pre-sell as many as they can before the cars come in.
Once the boatload of MySkys come in, they'll try to pre-sell hard tops again.

This will go round and round until there is sufficient dealer inventory of everything.

Hi all,

I'm new to car buying - I've never owned a car- so please forgive the newbie question.

I'm moving out of New York City and have decided to buy a vehicle. I love the Jeep Renegade and am considering it strongly, but waiting 10 weeks or possibly more would be a major inconvenience for me.

If there is a long wait for delivery, is it possible that the Jeep dealer would lease me a car for the short-term while I wait for me Renegade? Does this ever happen?

Thank you,
Ben
