I've had a couple people ask how I did the paracord grab handles.
So here's my little write up.


Start with your regular stock handle.

open the fasteners, a little slot on the outside of each.

Both of them open, you have to pull and it should separate from the headliner.

With the handle off.

You should see a pin on the handle which connects it to the bracket.

I removed the pin wit ha small allen key and just push it out.

You should be left with just the brackets. Remove that plastic piece which is hanging on the right one, the other side would have had the spring for the stock handle.

Hardware needed for one handle. The new handle of course http://amzn.com/B00PO0RHRA .
2 eye bolts, 4 fender washers, 2 regular nuts and 2 locking nuts for eye bolts. And 2 longer bolts and locking nuts to attach to the bracket. I don't know the sizes, but I just removed one of the handles and took it to the store with me so I could test fit bolts before I bought.

Reinstalled.

Any rattling from the eyebolt connections? Just curious, I was thinking about placing some rubber grommet type pieces on either side of the eyebolt to silence it...if it was making a noise. Looks awesome tho! Nice mod!

I don't hear them rattle too much. But yeah, I was thinking maybe a small O ring or nylon spacer on either side. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Oh boy, you just gave me more ideas lol. So ordering a whole spool of neon orange to match my interior, may do half black half orange to tie in a little better.
