1. in the colour we want I have 2 options ref parking sensors, get one that's being built with factory parking sensors, or get one that's built and in the UK and let the dealer fit the sensors. Obviously the one that's built and in country will be a lot quicker to get but will I be loosing anything by letting the dealer fit them? (I have a Skoda and the factory fitted ones have a visual display as well as the audio for any obstructions, whereas the dealer fitted ones are only audio), we're looking at the longitude if that makes any difference.
2. We're looking at the 1.4 DDCT, I've test driven it and seems great, although obviously on a short test drive its always hard, are there any problems/issues that mean I shouldn't get this engine/gearbox combo?

I don't know, hence my question, I know the skoda ones seemed to be an official skoda part, rather than one an individual dealer getting something from the local Halfords, however doesn't perform the same as a factory fitted one, ie no visual display on the multimedia screen. My local Jeep dealer wasn't 100% however didn't think the longitude if factory fitted had the visual display, so I would 'loose' nothing by having it dealer fitted.

I have a Longitude with factory-fitted sensors. There IS a visual representation on the dash. Hope that helps.

Thanks for that, I've decided in the great scheme of things it isn't a massive issue for me so I've decided to go with the dealer fitted solution to save waiting for one to be built for me, as there is one in the UK in the right colour so will be ready for September.
