So this morning I woke up and pull out of my driveway and noticed something laying in the driveway where my jeep was sitting. I don't know where it came from or if its even from my jeep? I just bought my renegade about 1 month ago used. Can someone help so i can find out what it is and where it go's. Thanks

That's an O-ring to seal something at the top, and pretty clearly a handle at the bottom. Looks like a part of some hand pumped apparatus, maybe part of a tool - like a brake bleeder or somesuch.

I bought my 2016 jeep renegade 2.4L trailhawk used about a month ago. It only had 9,000 miles on it.

Looks way too clean to have come off an operational vehicle. It's nothing I've ever seen before. I'd say it is unlikely to be off your Jeep.

Ok, I have an interesting theory.

Maybe this is a part off a toy airsoft gun? It kind of resembles a charging handle off an AR. I could see some neighborhood kids walking around, having the part break off, and throwing it in anger. Far fetched but maybe?

i totally understand the feeling of bewilderment. when we changed my stock air intake to a mass flow air intake we found a surprise under the engine cover, turns out i needed a 10mm wrench anyway!! i suppose a previous mechanic is missing his 10/8mm closed end wrench.
on a side note the mass flow air intake gives my Rene a little more pep!!!!
