Okay, I just received the bluetooth ODB II reader and tried it out. It works! This is the one I have:

I installed the "ODB Auto Doctor" Windows phone app and it was successful in interfacing with the ODB II reader. It showed two error codes, U110C and U11DD. I haven't been able to find out a lot about these yet, so if you anyone knows of any good reference sites for error codes, please let me know.

I upgraded "ODB Auto Doctor" to the Pro version and was successfully able to clear the two error codes. I also was able to see other engine status in real time.

For U110C I did find this on a dodge forum:

U110C-NO FUEL LEVEL BUS MESSAGE
When Monitored: Ignition on.
Set Condition: No fuel level BUS messages received by the PCM for 20 seconds.

POSSIBLE CAUSES:
DTC RESET
COMMUNICATE WITH CLUSTER
FUEL LEVEL BUS MESSAGE
PCI BUS CIRCUIT OPEN FROM PCM TO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
INSTRUMENT CLUSTER

Same thing happened to me. I took it back to have it reset and now it's been in the shop for 2 days. They can't figure out how to reset it and have been in contact with the STAR team.

I also have this Service message - it has been there for awhile so I took it in and the guys at Adventure Chrysler Jeep in Willoughby had no idea how to clear it and they had no idea what services needed to be performed at 10K miles - IT'S IN THE MANUAL - which I left at home, but you would think a dealer that sold me the vehicle would be able to look this info up... nope!

Adventure service guys are pretty gruff and dismissing - I asked about updates to the PCM, ABS, etc (there should be a couple and maybe as many as 8 updates) - he said NOPE, you are good to go... I find that hard to believe.

Anyone have any feedback about Spitzer Jeep on SOM Center Road in Mayfield? - I'm thinking about going there for service.

I live on the east side of Cleveland, Ohio - if anyone knows of a good Jeep dealer - please let me know!!
THANKS!

we have just over 7,000 miles and it said 18 days to service on start up.
The dealer did not have a clue and said to bring it back when it hits 0...

This is kinda lame that dealers don't seem to know how to reset it...and worse yet that one has to bring it in for resets.

Hard to believe there is no way to reset this oneself.
Can do that for oil changes....so should be same on this.
Mine came up, and now over total....so always perform service message on every startup.

Hmm,I thought that was oil message. Got oil at 11,000km since I was booked for amp update. This came up at 14,000 so I thought it was oil they didn't reset. Got them to reset for me when I took it in for transmission and pcm update. I gave never seen It say anything about oil. At 15000km now

Perform Service Light

Hi, I have a 2015 Jeep Renegade Latitude 2.4L and 4 cylinders. I have a "Perform Service" light coming up every time I start my Jeep. July 25th marked my 1 year anniversary. A little over 3k miles I got my first oil change at the dealership for free. At 8.1k miles my "Oil Change" light went off. I went and got an oil/filter change, replaced my wiper blades, rotated my tires, and had fluid levels checked at a reputable car shop. At 11k miles on July 3rd I got my state inspection in PA and multi point inspection.

I'm at 12.4k miles now and don't know what other service I need. According to the maintenance schedule my next check up is at 2 years or 20k miles. Does anyone know if I should try for another oil change or multi inspection?

Are you saying you have 2 different lights? One that turns on for when the oil should be changed, and a 2nd light for scheduled maintenance, according to the chart in the owner's manual? What I found in my owner's manual is the light mentioned for an oil change. Any other light that comes on as an icon may be due to a problem. I can't find any mention of a light that comes on for scheduled maintenance in my manual, which came with my 2015 Renegade (Limited).

Yes I've seen two different lights. At about 8.1k miles I had an oil change light appear and took my car to a car shop to get it changed. Now at 12.4k miles I have a Perform Service light. With the Perform Service Light I just not sure what other service needs to be performed. Here's the history of service so far:

3K miles= Got an oil/filter change at the Jeep dealership
8.1K miles= Got an oil/filter change, replaced wipers, checked fluid, checked tire pressure and got tires rotated
10.9K miles= Got a PA state inspection and multi-point inspection

July 25, 2016 I officially had my car for a year.

Now I'm at 12,400 miles. According to the Jeep Maintenance Schedule my next service wouldn't be until 20,000 miles. I'm not sure if I need service or just to have the Perform Service light turned off.

We just had that happen to us! Your dealer has to reset it with the Starscan and set it back to 0. It is a count down from 365 days.

I have the count down timer message; but, what I am saying is (in my previous post), my owners manual does not mention a specific light that comes on when a regular service/maintenance is needed. Did you have a Perform Service light come on?

In any case, I'm setting up an appt. today for my first oil change. I have 6800 miles on my Renegade. When I take the Jeep in, I'm going to specifically ask about a 'Perform Service' light, and hopefully I'll get an answer.

Yes we did and it took 2 hours for them to find out what to do to reset it. They could not tell me why this happens and it has nothing to do with oil changes.
