This is probably a stupid question, but can you play the radio when the car isn't running? I don't seem to have an "accessory" mode on the ignition.
Haven't had the occasion yet to do this in the TH so I'm doing a bit of assuming...but in my GC, I believe if you hit the START button without your foot being on the brake, it will go into acc mode. I THINK! I know I did it, but can't remember exactly how. This is probably a stupid question, but can you play the radio when the car isn't running? Confirmed! I just got into my TH and pushed the power button on the radio. Came on immediatelyJust turn the radio on, that's all I have to do, no pressing the start button at all
Stays on for 15 minutes. My sport is the same - just push the on/off knob.
I don't know how long it will stay on...until the battery dies... >![]()
No Acc position. Just push the radios power button to turn it on even if the key is out.I'm reviving this ancient thread because I just got my Renegade and I'm finding this bizarre too. I have a keyed ignition. It goes from off, to run, to start. I can't seem to hit accessory mode. Sure, you can set the radio to 20 mins and cycle the key as needed, but what about taking this thing to a drive in movie? Cycling the key would turn all the lights on too.
So, is there really no accessory position or am I just missing it?
Really? I wonder how long it would have taken me to think to try that. I've never heard of a vehicle doing that. That's a good solution to not having an acc position then.No Acc position. Just push the radios power button to turn it on even if the key is out.
All good. Glad I could helpI just read back through and realized this had already been determined. Whoops! I thought everyone was talking about the start/stop button so I ignored all the button comments.
thank you!Just turn the radio on, that's all I have to do, no pressing the start button at all
