Hey guys - attempting to narrow down my order and would love some feedback/advice...here is what I am thinking of for my Rene:

Trailhawk
Pop Equip
Cold Weather
Safety/Sec Grp
uConnect 6.5

So, the 3 hang ups I have are the following...

1- Since leather group includes some duplicate features of the Pop Equip, is there a package discount when you choose both options vs just one? I like the way the cloth looks, but open to leather if that is all thats out there with the options I want.

2- Color...wow this is so much harder that I thought. My safe pick is white (last jeep was same color, loved it). But that anvil...mmm. Need to see it in person, love it on other Jeeps. Commando green is nice but looks maybe a little olive/baby puke sometimes. I want to like but not sure if I could live with it. Sierra Blue...definitely would like some feedback on this one...never considered it until I saw a pic on autotrader with it. Was this discontinued?

3-MySky. So, I love sunroofs but mainly for the ability to let more light in the car. I rarely open the one I have now. Thinking why spend the money if it is just a solid panel? Seen a couple threads on creaking/rattling sunroofs and that would drive me insane.

Would really appreciate some feedback on the build specs and 3 points above...thanks everyone! :D

Not sure of the pricing on this.... Your dealer should be able to break it down for you on the price sheet though.

I really liked the Yellow, but plan on having mine for 10-15 years, & didn't want the yellow for That long.... LOL, so chose white. I agree with you on the green color... color of baby food. Wish it was more of an Army green... would have gone for it!!

Wouldn't pay $ for it if you won't use it. Put the money into the Nav instead. I ended up with MySky & didn't want it originally... changed my mind!

Good Luck!!

#2 - I chose anvil after driving some distance to see a Jeep in that color. Sierra Blue is not available in the 2016's
#3 - I ordered the powered MySky - it's not like a sunroof at all. If you open it you let the sunlight and breeze in. I got it because there are times I enjoy tooling down the back roads and being able to look up and see the leaves and such passing overhead. I have a 1952 Willys which I prefer to drive topless down the back roads and trails and I hope to capture some of that experience with the Renegade.

I just ordered about the same as you minus the safety and security and plus the tow package.

1. If you add the leather it should remove the popular equipment package, but in doing so it also removes the 9 speakers. So if you add that back for $495, with all of your options, not including the My Sky, you have an MSRP of $31,960. If you skip on the leather you have an MSRP of $30,715. So you have to ask yourself if leather is worth the extra $1,245.

2. I'd go with Anvil, it looks awesome and it is a Trailhawk exclusive color.

3. Depends on if you will use it. Originally I wanted it but opted against it after hearing about the problems. However those might be fixed now.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

I passed a Jeep dealer after dinner and they had a Commando Latitude, a Sierra Blue TH, and a White TH. White still looks great, cant do the blue (would get tired of it quick i think), and the green...eh. White or anvil it is!

Leather doesnt sound worth it to me. I love the topo print on the cloth seats.

I'll give up the mysky since I would rarely if ever use it.

For those of you with the Blind Spot system...is it an audible warning in addition to the mirror indicators like on the Grand Cherokees?

It is can be audible or not. You can program it either way.

The Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system works well, but it can never replace properly adjusted mirrors and turning your head to look for traffic. In fact, BSM can lull one into a false sense of security if you're not careful. The BSM system won't detect any car that I can't already see (because I always look).

One thing I find annoying is when two lanes of traffic are both turning in the same direction, the BSM will beep sometimes if the car next to you is in the right spot. Another is if I put on my turn signal in advance to warn others that I intend to change lanes after the car next to me passes, the BSM will beep which cuts off the radio (just as he threw the pitch . . ., missed it).

I left my audible indicator on (for now) since I don't travel that many roads with two lanes that turn together.

Agreed!

Given the more significant C pillar in the Renegade VS my current car, I definitely still want to option it. I live in the city and my commute to the burbs takes me through some crazy merges. I have the LaneWatch camera on my Honda which I love, but BSM should be enough.

We bought a red TH with the black cloth. Usually buy leather, have it in my Cherokee TH and love it, but didn't care for it at all on the Renny, leather just didn't have the same feel as the Cherokee. The cloth on the Renny TH is fantastic.

BSM has really impressed me on the Renny TH, wish I had it on my Cherokee TH too TBH.

Our 20yo son drives it too and we wanted it for him as an extra precaution. Stupid NY drivers ed teach kids NOT to look over their shoulders. I was dumbfounded when I heard that.
