Has anyone purchased an extended warranty, if so how much? How long did you purchase it for (ie 5 years, 7 years, lifetime).

Comparing the "Added Care Plus" vs "Maximum Care Coverage", it seems like the Added care would fit my needs as it would still cover things like radio, electronics, engine stuff, AC, etc.

I bought a 6 yr / 75k / $0 deductible for my 2012 Focus when it was brand new for $955. Hope to get something similar to this price when I make the switch to the Renegade.

I got the 6 yr total wrap coverage was $1200, also got cilajet(paint dent scratch eviromental dmg), wheel dmg, key replacment and window glass replacment was a $1100 package. And gap insurance for $800. So extra 3100 after price of car. But my experience with my other cars this is well worth it

My dealer wanted $2,900 to extend 3/36 to 7/70. I thought this was a tremendous rip-off and passed on that. I did however, take the lifetime powertrain warranty for $1,000. I keep my vehicles from birth to death so this seemed like a good value, especially since there seems to be some concern in this forum regarding the transmission.

On the Focus forum everyone was buying the extended Ford warranties from a dealer in Minnesota. I asked my local dealer to match this price and he said he couldn't even come close. Must be a high volume dealer, but that's where I bought mine from. $1000 would be my limit.

I Paid $1,900 to extend to 6 years / 100,000. He showed me retail pricing for "this deal" that was much higher.

3 years / 36,000 miles seems like it will last 15 minutes!
