Radiator Fan Rattle. Help!

Is anyone having this problem or know a solution? I haven't had a chance to get in there because work has been crazy but I was hoping someone else has had experience with this. I've only had my renegade about a month and kept her clean and out of the mud so what could make this start happening?

no problem with mine , the video isnt that great u moven to much lol , but it looks like the whole entire housing is shaken lose, not bolted up snug , and sounds like the blade is hitting either the housing or the coils

i would bring it back to the dealer and let them see this and the video so they dont think ur nuts

Something has come loose. It should be still under warranty. Take it in before something punctures the radiator.

Hi hotdamnyall,
I’m sorry to hear about your concern with your radiator fan. I am not aware of this occurance, but would be happy to assist in scheduling you an appointment at a certified dealership if you decide to have your vehicle diagnosed. Please feel free to reach out.

It just might be the fan motor itself. If that's the case, it's an easy fix for the dealer.

Let us know what the problem was.

Radiator Cooling Fan

Driving down the street in slow traffic in my 2015 trailhawk and it started over heating. I looked under the hood and the damm radiator cooling fan broke off it's motor and was hanging in the shroud. Should be an easy fix for the shop but I am more interested in finding out what caused it to break off. I was just doing normal city driving?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that city driving probably makes the fan work harder than almost anything else (no help for your issue though, sorry).

Over in JROG group on Facebook several members have had fan issues (do search for "fan" in the group). All/most ended up getting unit replaced.

We have the same problem and it appears there is noting online to show how to remove the radiator fan. It's a simple snap on part but we can't see how to get it out of the space provided without removing major parts. There is not enough space between the engine and radiator. Has anyone removed one before and if so how?

Mine burned up. Limped to a dealer and was told the part is backordered for about a month. They gave me a loaner so I'm good for now. There are 600 fans on back order. How cheaply made is this part?

Another Fan problem?

So I've just got my renegade recently its a 2015 Lat (got it salvage relatively intact with only cosmetic damages, fixed now) and it was driving like a charm up until a few weeks ago the radiator fan started wobbling like crazy, nothing we could do to fix it and not having warranty, ended up finding a replacement fan from a Junker that worked like a charm until 2 days ago, it now has the same problem. Does anyone have any solution to this aside from taking it to the dealer? It isnt under warranty and im not looking forward to having to pay alot to get it fixed.. any suggestions? Side note, this time the relevant fuse has also blown out along with any replacements we tried and A/C is also not working as a result.
