Hello, have a new Trail Hawk, so far love it. Question: How do set up my Iphone6 to remotely start my TH which has already the remote feature from the FOB.

Also there is a key insert (chrome thingy) in the FOB that we have no idea where it goes in the TH as we have the keyless start option. Thanks Norm

My TH is in JB status right now, so I should receive it shortly. I did not know you can set it up with the iPhone, thats pretty cool. 100% will be looking into this. I as well purchased the keyless TH. If you have the MySky they showed videos of a key being used to unlock it.

I believe that would be done via the Uconnect app. I installed it on mine and can remotely lock/unlock my doors, but it seems to take a while and I don't really see the use. Also I believe this is part of the $240/year option you will have to renew.

The key is used to manually open the front drivers side door if the battery in the FOB dies. There's also something built into it to allow the Jeep to be started with a dead FOB as well.

First Post on this forum. I just bought a 2015 renegade trail hawk with a push button start. The factory remote start doesn't have enough range from my apartment to start my jeep in the morning. Is there a brand that is compatible with the push button start and can someone explain how I would set up my iphone 6 to start my renegade as well.

Uconnect app. My fob will start from my building, which is at least 100+ feet away from my TH. The app you can be at any distance (that's what they say) and it'll lock/unlock/panic/start.

hi there, I install car starters for a living up here in Canada and currently am not able to install an aftermarket remote start (Compustar specifically) in my push start renegade. Software should be out soon though. If you have a standard key it's do-able. once you have an aftermarket one installed you are able to add the cell phone starter to it, it's associated with a $50 yearly charge.
