Has anyone else had dealers not release the renegade due to alarm issues?

Ours is their at the dealers but Fiat have emailed them stating not to release any vehicles until the update has been sent and put into the vehicle.

Any help regarding this or if anyone else has had any issues will be appreciated.

Yes I had been told the same that there was a bad batch and they were being swapped at port (UK) My OE was due to go to the dealer tomorrow and wont be there until next week?
It arrived 1st of March in the UK port and will have taken 3 weeks to get to the dealer if it does go next week, I've been dealing direct with Jeep customer services which has not been a great experience and I am now awaiting what good will gesture they are going to give me?
I ordered my Renegade OE 6 weeks ago and I am still waiting, my dealer told me today that any factory order is a minimum of 12 - 16 weeks?

Thats really long waiting times!! Our vehicle has arrived we have been to view it at the dealers but they could not release it due to the alarm fault.

They couldn't tell me how long it's going to take to get the update and they are telling customers to call FCA if they want to.

Hopefully it won't take too long :(

You have done well if you only ordered it a couple of weeks ago, as I said I gave my dealer a deposit over 5 weeks ago for my OE and I'm still waiting, which is one or the issue I have with Jeep CS and why others have got there cars before me. The stupid thing is I am in Bristol and the port they come in too is Portbury docks two junctions down on the M5 from me and my dealer is in central Bristol but they would not let them pick it up so I have to wait another week for it to be delivered 5 miles from were it's at the the port.
I hope you get yours soon as I don't think either of us will be seeing many on the road for a few months yet:)

I ordered my renegade limited on the 25th Feb. Arrived at the dealership on Friday 20th march but will not be released because of this alarm issue? Are any of you further forward with this? It's a bit annoying!

Hi - YES, I ordered one for delivery on 28th March (a showroom vehicle). So far still no new date and have been told a part has been ordered from Europe but not yet arrived.

I should be getting a further update today.

The sales man explained the issue but did say they had updated the software on 15-20 and mine was the only issue.

Has your issue been resolved?

Here is my update...

Seems they blew the instrument cluster whilst trying to update the software.

Not sure what they will do with the current car as I received the log book last week so it seems they registered it before sorting the problem out which was a "know issue"

Got a call today and they are now looking to source me an alternative car (same spec. but from elsewhere in the UK)

As for compensation - what have people been offered? I have been told I will get my first service free, just wondered if that was enough?

Let us know what Jeep UK have done for you.

I have asked for three free services and some money off. I will let you know what they say - as it will be next week now before they respond.

They have also sourced an other car same spec that they will let me have.

You will also notice that the Limited and Limited OE should have the 40/20/40 rear seat, they don't and I have just got off the phone to Jeep Customers services this has been highlighted on another thread, they told me it's not available and that the brochure was mis-printed and all UK dealers were notified on the 8th Jan and I know for a fact my dealer was not?
They are looking into it as well?

Mine was delivered to me on 30.3.15
The alarm went off today and the car is now undrivable.
Awaiting jeep assist but with 200 miles on clock not happy!
Nearest dealer 1 hour easpch way and no service engineers until Tuesday

My dealer offered me a free service but I got the grill and mirrors changed.
Jeep Customer services are offering £150.00 for the Alarm fault delay.
Hi,

Can you tell me what you did on the grill and mirrors?! I am hesitating purchasing a Renegade because I do not like the mirrors and would want a differ color. Please Help!! Thanks so much!!!

There are four different finishes in the Renegade accessories brochure,
Piano Black
Matt Black
Fine Silver
Neutral Grey Satin

Mine was an OE so had fine silver which I did not like with the white paint so changed it to matt black as you can see in pictures I have also added a bonnet decal and some decals on the side.
My grill and mirrors are on ebay at the moment:)

What an absolute pain. Really hope you get it sorted and have some form of compensation.

It sounds like it could be a fault with the engine immobiliser that is triggered by the alarm.

Keep us posted.

My instrument cluster did not work also after they did the software update. They ordered a new part but was sent one with kmph rather than mph, so now waiting for another one which could be a while. In the mean time I also have a log book but have never seen the car.
