Hey everyone. I have seen several videos on YouTube where the fog lights seem to turn in independently (only one of the two fog lights will turn on)as if to "alluminate" your path. I even saw this in a Tales of the Trailhawk video. I'm quite ignorant... Is this a safety feature when off-roading to help you see obsticals when you are navigating rough terrain? Is this "feature" always on or do you have to be in a certain drive mode (other than auto for the select-terrain)?

You can see that when at lease one wheel leaves the ground, the fog light that is nearest to the most elevated front wheel will turn on and then shut off once the vehicle is level/stable.

I noticed that too and I think what is more likely is they have rotated out of view of the camera (by turning the vehicle, not the lights). At first I thought one of them was out or intermittent. Typically to get lights that do that, you are looking a BMW / Mercedes / Lexus etc. type vehicles. And it says nothing about anything like that in the currently released specs.

If it was night, it probably wouldn't look like that at all in those shots and it would just look like they're on.

I thought that there was an issue with my fog lights last night, when I picked up my renegade. If the fog lights are turned off and you turn the wheel or turn the signal on it will turn that side on and then turn off after you make the turn. But if you drive with them on there is no change.

My current car does that too. Its to light up the direction you're travelling in the dark apparently. Its very effective where I live as there are no street lights.
