Renegade Limited beefier tires

Hello,

My wife has a 2016 (None-Trailhawk) Limited edition.
She would like the beefier tire look and found this:

However, she has 18" rims (Limited OEM versions). I have seen 17" on sport models, but Discount tire said there isn't any for 18".

I was able to find 18" versions online:
https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/bfgoodrich-all-terrain-t-a-ko2/p/10388
[ame]https://www.amazon.com/BFGoodrich-All-Terrain-KO2-Radial-Tire/dp/B00QJ6XJA2[/ame]

My concern is fitment and needing spacer, etc....

Would it more reasonable to get 17" rims and tires then or get the 18" to wrap her stock rims?
Basically, I am trying to figure out what be most cost effective as 18" is more in general, but my concern is - if I got her the 18" would I need to be concerned about suspension, spacers, etc....

The goal, is she likes off road/all terrain and BEEIFER looking tires~
Does anyone have all terrain tires on their STOCK 2016 Renegade LIMITED edition in 18" Pictures - so I can show her?

Thank you!

Interested in the responses you get. I am in the same situation. I wouldn't have a problem running a wheel spacer if necessary.
Reasonable is a general word. Reasonable for my 100k+ vehicle customers generally spend more than the 45k> ones do. (I’ve made a customer apparently contemplate getting rid of a 13 Civic w/72xxx over a 800$ maintenance quote lol)

28.5”~ is about max for tire height for most all renegades. Lift and pinch seam is needed for most anything else, unless you get the right wheel application. Search the tire & wheel part of the forum and you’ll find lots of sizing and tire choices.

235/60/18 has been done. Yokohama ATS go15

BFG 255/55/18 KO2 is more possible(than your option), with spacers and lift and pinch weld treatment if I’m recalling ?

You do understand how heavy duty BFG KO2 are hopefully?? The added weight is noticeable onroad. As is the sound, and wet weather traction is going to test your steering a bit. Look for the Yokohama ATS, Cooper AT3, similar tread tires. Quieter and better on road feel, but not as sure footed off-road (mud, clay, rocky climbs)

I personally have used Yokohama. BFG is my fav for off-road. About to put coopers on, seen PLENTY of satisfied truck/Jeep owners who love them. Also Toyo/Nitto is a great alternative that has a great tread, lasts a long time as well.

Thanks for your thoughts. However, I think the point is being missed here...
I am asking for advice on which way to go: Keep 18" rims and get the R18 versions or get the 17" version with new rims (basically: new wheel set).

Goal is find the most cost effective way to get beefier looking tires W/O having compromising the overall ride quality or damaging the suspension.

Please post pics of your 18" LIMITED edition tires... Her goal is to have a beefy, and rugged looking Renegade - LOL!
I do think the tire she likes, is well..the ones she wants. However, Discount tire is saying they come in 17" only... which I do not believe as I see the tired available in R18; which would fit her stock rims. The concern is, how is the look and effect? Will spacers be needed?

Thanks
If you get a tire that is much wider than stock you will need spacers. Plus, they look better. Don't go over 28.5" overall diameter, and you should be ok whichever tire you choose. Remember weight is an issue with such little engines.
The tires you linked on Amazon have a 32" overall diameter. They won't fit:(

Not sure where you're located but I'm in LI,NY if you wanted to trade your 18s for my 17s.
My 75th Anniversary mode came with 18” rims/tires. I downsized to 17” so I could go with beefier tires.

These are listed as used for 18 inch Renegade rims, they should fit without need for spacers or anything since they are OEM size.
Question is if your wife likes their design enough.
You may want to try the 1" wheel spacers. They will give the gader a more aggressive stance

Nice! I'm trying to do something similar with 255/55/18 KO2s on my 4x4 latitude without a lift, but I bought 1.25" spacers and did a test mount on the front and get some pretty major interference at the back of the front wheel well at about 3/4 of the way to full steering lock.

I was not sure a 1"/25mm spacer would clear the spring perch, but it looks like you are not having a problem with that. Do you know how much clearance you have between the tire and spring perch? And do you have a lift or are you are stock ride height?
Toyo Open Country At3 have size 225/55R18

Those tires in the pic are BFG, not Toyo? Are these the 235/60R18s you were referring to? Are spacers necessary to run that size? She looks great!
